I was looking at various chucks and then I noticed I heard something about the BB (or silver bullet design) about the button. See this here in this example: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2493/4182004686_82a533a386_o.jpg

Then I noticed about this video in comparison with the BB feel and touch to it: YouTube - The BB

The information was plentiful and useful of the two pros and cons. What strikes me the most is the button design. The button is what made me a little weary because I know since I'm out a lot or especially outside I might come across with bumping with the button.

I want the chuck yet I want the BB but neither because one has something that the other doesn't have: longevity. The second is the button but worried me that over time I might bump it or fall onto it might lead me to concern having it at all. The same with the BB considering it is said to offer only 5-6 hours of vaping which doesn't impress me.

The Chucks are great looking and eye catching but I guess the button is about the only thing that put me down.

Off to work for me.

I had these same questions as well. A few members responded telling me that Jeff says the button he uses is the best fit for the width and length of the tube and the best working one at that, and that he has tried other buttons that were unsuccessful. Also the one currently on the chuck is gold plated I'm pretty sure which makes the connection last longer, I didn't hear this from Jeff himself so the info may not be totally accurate. Hopefully someone will chime
In and correct me if any of that is inaccurate

The BB button would seriously F with alot of graphics. The little button causes grief enough for Jeff with customer's not wanting the button to interfere with the designs.

If you like the flippen button, get the BB. I don't think I've ever seen a video from that dude where he didn't get the product free in exchange for doing a video review.

Every subforum is going to have it's followers. Here, not one person is gonna tell you a chuck sucks. Mainly because they don't!
It's a good basic mod. The Supplier (Jeff) is also the fabricator of your mod. He's not just repacking them and shipping them off. It usually is a good indicator that you are getting a good product

If you still are all confused on which way to go. Get a basic chuck, go to the colors section, pick out a color. If you don't like it, you can turn around and sell it to someone who doesn't want to wait for a chuck and you'll get your money right back that way.

The BB is a mini version of a silver bullet, the SB will give you the same vaping times as a Chuck since they both use the same batteries. The BB is smaller than a Lil' Chuck I believe as well, it's pretty tiny.

The button on the SB is nice, but again, for having custom graphics.. it is possible, (not to mention the BB/SB unscrew in the middle of the unit.) but it wouldn't look as good excepting solid colors.

The bottom line is, if you want a button that's more pocket safe, get a Silver Bullet. If you want to be able to put custom graphics and something you don't have to polish every month or so, go with a Chuck.

I've heard that too Amy, in fact I've heard he contacts vendors in the interest of doing reviews, then basically lists out exactly what he wants for free from the site and does not hold back to just liquids or singles of things. However, rumors are rumors, and not always the 100% truth. ;)

At 3.7V, the BB uses a 14500 battery. Lighthound has 14500s with 600mAh and 750mAh. Mad Vapes has one that is 900mAh.

The Little Chuck takes a 16340 or an 18350. The 16340s I have are LiMN and they are only 550mAh but the 18350 is 1,200. So it lasts about 33% longer between battery changes than the highest mAh 14500.

The big Chuck, of course, takes an 18650. Those batteries are rated 2,000-3,000mAh and will last a couple of days between changes.

They are not rumors. They are facts and as far as I know all of the vendors are on to it and will not supply him with free stuff anymore. Did you know he even asks for donations so he can get more free stuff. He collected nearly $500 from what he called an "internet-a-thon" where he had a live feed so people could ask him questions and donate money to him. This was just a couple months after he started vaping and he was trying to get everyone to think he was the go to guy for all things vape. He bought a slew of new hardware and juice but "it was all for us" because he did a review of all of them. "For Us".

I've dropped one of my chucks several times I even knocked the atty connection loose causing the atomizer to lean, I gave a good push inwards and it was back to normal. I would imagine if you are heavy handed and jammed the button down everytime you use it could wear it out. These buttons are not that weak and fit well in the design.I looked up the buttons that Jeff uses and I believe they are rated for like 250,000 pushes. Every PV has issues but the chuck is a solid built unit and Jeff fixes them quickly if for some reason your having problems.

Actually from what I've heard about the guy, he apparently threatens bad reviews of suppliers if they do not provide him with free stuff. Don't know if that's 100% true either but I've heard it from 4 sources that all said the same thing.

Wouldn't surprise me, I have a supplier friend who has related something fairly similar in context. Ah well, besides the point of the thread.
