Hi all...my button is starting to stick. I've cleaned it out to make sure it wasnt gunked up and it's still sticking. Any ideas?

You need to remove the battery and bottle, atty also. Run it under warm water. Turn and push the button while the water runs through it. Make sure you also turn the REO upside down and run water up through the delrin.

If you have a button top make sure it is not sliding down too far on the button.

I can feel your pain worseforwhere... I do a lot of odd jobs and the environments are not the cleanest and I find at least once or twice a week I have to take my button completely out of my grand and clean it. It is just something I have learned to live with. I will say though, you need to be very careful removing and reinstalling the delrin insert though as it is very prone to stripping the screw out. It only needs to be snugged down.

This happened to me too. Whats the finish on your REO? I have a silver vein. It worked fine for about a day but then started sticking. Cleaning it out didnt work for me. I could see scratch marks on the side of the button which led me to believe the button was scraping along the sides. I took a small file and moved it around just a little bit along the inside of the REO where the button sits. Not sure if thats the problem but it works great now. I was also wondering if the button was susceptible to changes in humidity. Will it expand when its humid? It was real humid here when it happened.

Well i work in the oilfield as an electronic technician...so it gets fairly dirty. I try to keep it as clean as possible but the dirt and grime still gets in. I haven't tried running it through warm water and pushing the button at the same time. I will give it a try during my lunch break. @Moto- mine is regular orange and has the scratch marks on the side of the button too. I wonder if i should file mine out some too.

The button on one of my Reos seemed to be sticking a few days ago. I cleaned everything and cleaned it again. Still had a problem. The firing pin wasn't springing back into position every time after I pushed the button. It was sticking down where it would stay in contact with the battery if I had one in. I ended up ever so slightly and carefully bending it and it seems to work fine now.

Granted, I was probably mashing the button some early on thinking I wasn't getting contact when what I really needed was a fresh battery.
