Great find yOGi!. I have both the one you have mentioned and the new aerotank base.

Have only been using the new base for a couple of weeks. There are both +/-'s to each:

The original aerotank base is a little shorter and the airflow dial is a little easier to turn (knurling on the dial plus not stiff to turn). There are 3 very small airflow holes around the circumference of the base.

The new aerotank base is a little taller and the airflow dial is very stiff making it more difficult to turn. There is one very large airflow hole.

I prefer the look of the original (with my Protank 2 v2's), the ease of adjusting the airflow and the cost, but I prefer the vape I get from the very large airflow hole on the new aerotank base. Hopefully over time the stiffness will ease up a little.
