I've been hanging out over here for a while, and I'm ready to make the plunge. Now that the new batteries are here, I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to do this. I know I have to have one MF battery, and blank cartomizers. From there I'm struggling....

I want a new PCC, and was thinking about picking up the older one. However, it looks just like mine now, and mine seems to charge, but the lights never seem to work right. Anyone have a good experience with the older PCC or am I better off spending more with the new one? The mini PCC looks cool but I'm used to the regular size batts so I'd get a regular size PCC. I've been trying to save money by buying cheaper generic usb/wall chargers but sometimes I wonder how effective that even is?

Next dilemma - new Trifecta or a second MF battery? I'm on the fence about this one. I like manual batts, but this one is still an auto by nature by being unsealed. I've been wanting to try a PT, but this one isn't 5v so basically the advantage would be the ability to charge while vaping? Has anyone gone from a regular size to an XL & found any disadvantages to the longer length? The battery life on the Trifecta would be the same as the regular, and I've never tried the XL size. Do I need a second battery right away? I do have plenty of the "others", can always throw a Bloog carto on another battery in a pinch.

Any suggestions?!?! I feel like if I keep lurking over here & over-analyzing I'll never make a decision!

i know my opinion will seem biased but figured i would give my 2 cents anyway =) our mini batts last me as long as the old KR808d1's with more reliability (plus is smaller!!)... the 78mm only lasts me about a 1/4 longer (20% more then the standard kr808d with more reliability) ...so my vote would be the mini batt and the new mini PCC which is way better in quality and reliability... you get 3-4 batt chargers per pcc charge...plus the pcc batt is replaceable (its a regular cell phone batt available at many stores)...in addition aside from a very few that were defective...haven't had any complaints about the mini pcc....lights charging all work as specified in the instructions....as far as your second batt purchase...if you go with the mini... the trifecta would seem to make sense as...as you said you can use other kr808 batts if need be and won't have to worry so much about charging.... but that decision is going to be a personal preference...as you said the length might be an issue.... you may just want to get 2 mini batts...and use em both in your mini pcc... an option you didn't mention... whatever way you go i am sure you will be happy blooging!

One thing to keep in mind is that Leaford is working on a new-style PCC that will adjust for both the 65mm and 78mm batteries. I don't know when that will be released however. Maybe Leaford will give us an ETA. So if you can wait a while, you can get a new PCC that has more flexibility, along with all the new features and advantages of the new style.

When I think of how much I "allowed" myself to spend on cigarettes, I don't worry if I spend that much on e-cig expenditures. I also think there are hidden savings we won't ever know the extent of, such as less health care expenses.

i know my opinion will seem biased but figured i would give my 2 cents anyway =) our mini batts last me as long as the old KR808d1's with more reliability (plus is smaller!!)...

Thats really interesting. I received 2 "shorty" batts from another company in error & the battery life was way shorter than the regulars. Its so hard to figure this all out when you don't know if its a quality issue or a standard "this is the way they work" issue!!

well i can confirm thru use... the 78mm last 20% longer then the mini 65mm.... but as i said our design improvements compared to the Kr808d's put the mini at same level as the kr808 and the 78...20% above... =)...so therefore the mini regular kr808d would be less then our mini

Oh, OK - thats really really cool! So how long are your minis lasting during a typical day of vaping for you? I think the other problem I have is that I've bought too many yummy juices & I'm still chain vaping :)

beachpuff,

Maybe if you can tell us how you want to use this. Do you want it for all day at work, or to go out etc...

I prefer the 78 batts for all my needs. In addition to this I like to keep a couple of battery chargers.

But the mini pcc maybe better for you if you need to go all day at work etc..

I am using my current kr808d1 as my total analogue replacement. I'm pretty much near an outlet or usb port at all times, I'm just super paranoid about my batts dying. Actually they should make batts so you can see how "full" the charge is, lol. I picked up a generic usb charger that you push the batt into, so I have to pull up the posts afterwards, and as I said, while my equipment does usually charge everything, it seems sketchy when the lights don't work right. I constantly have all my chargers going, just in case, lol.

I started with the 78's, but ended up with minis in error that I'm either over-using or they just don't last very long.

mini's last me about 2 3 hours... i am what i call a moderate chain vaper.. lol... but thats about how long if not longer then my regular kr808d.... keep in mind with the maxx...no primer puff...so no wasted battery there.... plus a lot more vapor = shorter puffs...also less wasted battery....
well i can confirm thru use... the 78mm last 20% longer then the mini 65mm.... but as i said our design improvements compared to the Kr808d's put the mini at same level as the kr808 and the 78...20% above... =)...so therefore the mini regular kr808d would be less then our mini

*edit....keep in mind no primer puff and more vapor...happens because of the maxx cartos performance and not the battery performance....so if you are using regular cartos..... you won't have this benefit in battery lengthing

I really want to try the cartos! My first thought was to just buy a pack of those, but then I wanted to try out the battery with the cartos, and then, well, I got overwhelmed.

I haven't found that much info on the battery life of the 2 sizes of the MF, so this was really really helpful - thank you!!

Beach like I said earlier being you have constant access to an outlet or usb port the trifecta is perfect for you, being you can use it as both a passthru and a battery.

Yes, that does sound good, and I've been wanting to pick up a PT anyway. So maybe one regular batt, the trifecta and the older pcc - decisions, decisions.....
