I will check for cracks later, I don't think I will need to return it, if it was doing this every time, maybe but this is not enough to worry about, I just wanted to ask if someone else had it happen is all.

So can I get it as a kit and match it with my v1 or do I have to buy everything? I would like the side airflow.
The one thing I don't like about Calix is the screws in the deck. They are extremely small, and since they are sideways it is hard to screw them. Also 26ga is a PITA with those screws.
Other than that it is a great little flavour tank.

I've got to stop talking about the Calix V2 Billie The forum on which I moderate has now become responsible for quite a few more sales I gather! There aren't going to be many left when I get around to ordering my Calix V2 Elegance next week.

Received the other V2 Base this morning Billie, many thanks indeed.
Quick observation that your airflow/how tight or not tight you have the draw, will effect how far you have the juice open. I'm also willing to bet there's ever so slightly variances in each device and then of course the juice mix you have.
For instance, I found on my v1 they I would have juice about 1/2 - 3/4 of a turn open. Now I find myself with this v2 finally settling in around 1/3 - 1/2 of one turn open.
I opened the air slightly from where I had it at the start (MTL/tight still) and now taste is where I expected and have come to love from my original Calix.
If you're getting muted flavor, try closing the juice a tad, or open the air just slightly. Either/or. I now agree that muted flavor in a Calix is most likely over saturation.

Follow what I said about the air and juice. I was getting what I thought was muted flavor too... I started to question if the v2 design was as good as the v1 for taste, but it was just me, and just oversaturation....

The bases are almost over and we are finishing the next batch
They sent them today.They will probably take some weeks to get here and most importantly get cleared from customs. We are also going to make longer ones to test them. Those will be ready at the end of the month.When do you expect the bigger Screws Billie?
