I'm a little hesitant to try the Virus. I know a lot of people think it's like thebombdotcom, but I don't want to pay for a liquid that's too cigarette-y (if that makes sense) and that I won't vape.

As an official carrier of The Virus I can tell you for sure the last thing it could be considered is "cigarettey".

For me the coffee in wakonda comes out at lower ohms/higher watts +35 (shines at about 44w) at least below that you get more vanilla/cream. For me I had no idea what I was missing on my "noob" setup with a Nautilus, when I tried it on my first RBA that is when I understood about Nicoticket. Not saying it can't be vaped on a starter setup just that it does shine in RBA's with a mech or regulated higher watt device.

I'm just starting out, so I'm using a Halo Triton at the moment. It hasn't been a problem so far, and I've gotten really good flavour and zero harshness out of every other brand I've tried, including some premium brands like Five Pawns. Maybe Nicoticket brand is meant more for people with fancier builds?

You have stated that you are using a Halo Triton. Here's a few questions for you....

1st) Are you using a fresh coil or loading your clearomizer after using another liquid?

2) What are the the ohms of the Coils you are using.?

3) Is your Triton battery the fixed voltage type or the adjustable voltage type?

4) and the final question...Are you starting out with a fresh charge.

As some one that started out vaping on units similar to yours, I can tell that all of these factors can come into play depending on the different liquids you are using. By answering these questions we can get you on track. I can not begin to tell you how many liquids I thought were not all that good until I opened up to tuning my equipment a bit to the juices I was using. Even changing from 2.0 ohm coils down to 1.5's made a world of difference for me with a lot of liquids. The amount of voltage getting to your coils is also also a big factor.

1. I vaped Wakonda from a tank that had been used previously but had been washed out. I tried CLS earlier using a brand new tank and coil with the same results.

2. Not 100% on this one. Whatever the default ones are that come with the Triton tanks. I want to say 2.2-2.4 ohms, but don't quote me on that.

3. Fixed voltage.

4. Not with Wakonda, but I did have a fresh charge when I tried CLS.

I took the liberty of taking a look into the Halo Triton and doing a few calculations as well. I'll try to keep it simple.

Both of the juices you are vaping are fairly thick 50/50 VG/PG liquids which can be kind of hard on higher ohm coils without applying some pretty good heat.

Taking the 1300 mah sized battery as an example and saying that with a full charge it is coming out to 4.2 volts ( even though it isn't posted any where, most do), if you are using 2.2ohm coils, with a fresh battery you are vaping your juice @ 8.0 watts. As soon as you start vaping it drops off from there. When it gets down to 3.7 volts you are only applying 6.2 watts which is fairly weak for the juice you are vaping.

Now take the same battery and install a 1.8 ohm coil with a fresh charge at the same 4.2 volts. When start at that you are vaping at 9.8 watts and then dropping to to 7.6 watts when your charge reaches 3.7 volts which is more conducive to the liquids you are trying to vape.

By comparison and at the same 4.2 volts in a mechanical bottom feeding device, with Wakonda, I use a 0.7 ohm coil which starts me out at 25 watts.

So now that I have rambled on a bit, my advice to you would be to pick up a couple of 1.8 ohm coils, give your clearomizer a good cleaning, put a fresh charge on your battery and load up and go from there. I am sure your vaping experience will change for the better and the coffee in the Wakonda will be quite a bit more up front.

As always, I hope this helps and if you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask....:vapor:

Also, don't be afraid to stop in at the Nicoticket section and the home of the NuThouse. There is a whole group of really great folks over there that are more than willing to help. You don't just become another poster but you do become part of the family! You will also be encouraged to pull up a comfortable chair and stay a while!...;)

Best of luck to you M T Cup! :thumb:

Thats exactly what I was thinking when I read his coil ohms. When I used EVOD tanks and Protanks (I still do occasionaly) I use (rebuild) them to 1.5 to 1.8 ohm. That way with fixed voltage they'll burn a bit hotter quicker.

It'll make a big difference!

Wakonda tasted really weird (not in a good way) for me at first. Was taken aback by that given that so many here really tout the juice. Set it aside for a bit in it's own tank and then decided maybe I should mix it with the CLS that I had gotten in the same order from Nicoticket. Ahhhhh - THAT was much nicer. I still mix my Waki with a bit of CLS but the taste has grown on me to the point where I always have it around. I vape it regularly in a mini nautilus tank with a 1.8 BVC coil on my iStick 20w. Usually vape it around 4 or so volts (8-10 watts or so). It really grew on me over time.

I do know what you mean about that alcoholy smell, too. I did the shake and leave open on mine for several days. It did help, but mine was 'fresher' than yours...:2cool:

Yeah its a coffee/cream/tobacco vape. I threw 2 coffee beans in my 60 ml bottle. It ups the coffee punch really nicely!

Also the longer it ages the more the coffee comes out.

Great idea!! I too love my Wakonda but don't get much coffee taste. I do seem to have a coffee void in my taste buds when it comes to juice though. For me, Wakonda is a delicious vape and I don't even try to identify the flavors. I just vape and enjoy...a lot!

So far it's worked really well! It has a lot more coffee flavor than it did before I put them in there. Its pretty tasty!

Just noticed some thing interesting. All 3 of my Nicoticket bottles were produced in October of last year. That means they should be pretsteeped, right? I'm a ltitle concerned, since all of them (CLS, Frenilla, and Wakonda) all have a strong, almost alcohol-y smell, and Wakonda is really harsh on the throat. Thoughts?

OK, there have been some reports of a 'peppery' taste in the juices...it does go away with steep though. I really like it but some others do not. It seems to be a flavor that comes from the nicotine.

Harsh? I guess I would have to know about your delivery device(s) and nic level to even try to discuss that. I vape all three of these flavors and they are in my rotation frequently. I have not found any of them to be harsh and I started at 18mg over a year ago. I am now down to 6mg. I did load some 14 month old Virus (18mg) in my Reo. The flavor was AMAZING but the nic just about took the top of my head off!

I know I sound like a fangirl here, but it is only the truth. I love all of my NT flavors. I ordered regularly to keep my steep stash well supplied and have about 6 bottles of Wakonda steeping as we speak. That, Virus and ACB are my favs right now.

If you haven't tried Virus, I urge you to grab a bottle. It is nothing like a cigarette taste. In fact, I have never found a juice that has that taste. Virus is different things to different people and it changes as it ages. Delicious. Just Delicious.

What beans are you using? I have a great roaster down the street from me and I avoid shopping there cause it is a huge temptation to get EVERYTHING.

I had some whole bean 8 oclock french roast at the house. (I grind my beans for my coffee every morning).

Im thinking next time I may use my normal coffee (Gevalia French roast). They're a bit more oily, I think that may give ot a bit more flavor. The 8 o'clock are really dry beans.

Thank you! I will look for oily beans! I haven't had any 8 o'clock in forever. Oh, my poor wallet.
