Wouldn't mind my reo being vaped by the president in the capital of reovilleOL_X would make a vaping _X_tra vaping all your mods and post pix of me vaping them in random locations about town
Hey Guys, I don't own a Reo yet but I soon will! I just thought I would remind all of you that Rob's birthday is this Friday, January 30th, maybe a birthday gift is in order, just saying. Everyone can use friends like you all.
I too am not surprise Rob wouldn't accept any money. As many years as I known him this is what I expected...tho he does deserve it and really appreciate everyone's offer. As some of you know we have been able to gift him in the past on a big occasion and he has to accept that. lol Stick around long enough and the opportunity will rise again.
Not to worry my friend, Im sure that thought is on many metal heads minds in REOville besides you sell protected up there in the woods.
So when the hell is Robert gonna quit lollygaggin and start installing the new parts on our older mods? I've been waiting and waiting having one Grand with a foot in the grave now. How about a little help here? (places kevlar helmet on noggin--runs to shelter in preparation for incoming bombardment)

I've seen good customer service before but it is very rare to see someone back their product 100%. Not allowing people to help out because it's their product and they stand behind it. I tip my hat to you Robert.

Should have seen my dog this morning. He is a rescue that I got transported up from Louisiana last year so he's not really used to this much snow. Needless to say he is not digging having his .... and his xxxx in 3 ft of snow to do his business.

The day that all mods were pulled from sale was the day I logged on to purchase. So although I have a good deal of positive approval for the speedy reaction to a problem that arose, I also cannot shake a little bit of the, Whew, I dodged a bullet there, feeling. That is emotional and not logical, I know. Having time to browse the forums I can see that the manufacturer is very connected to their user base and quite committed to delivery of a good product. The outpouring of support in this thread is also a very positive sign of the interconnectedness of a user base and the manufacturer. All in all, from a consumer that does not own the product, my view is very positive.
So, for the love of 8lb11oz sweet baby Jebus, before you make a run on inventory, leave me one LP Reo Grand (black wrinkle silver vein) so I can stop smoking analogs!
If you dont I will raise Jack Lord from the grave to come and book you, and you do not want a piece of Jack when he is .......

Every time I hear someone talk about the "manufacturer" I chuckle to myself. I know that in the strictest sense Reosmods is a manufacturer, but in reality it's a guy -- a craftsman and artist -- in a "shop" in Maine who, with a couple/three helpers, works 12+ hours a day to make these things and get them out to us. He's on this forum every single day chatting with us and reading everything we say about his mods. He responds directly to anyone who has a problem or a question. We all feel like he knows us personally.
When I think of "manufacturer" I think of a big, impersonal company. When I think of Reosmods, I think of Cottage Industry. I daresay if you had ordered your REO the day before they got pulled, you would have still received a product that worked just fine -- just not as fine as Rob (a perfectionist) would like.
If, when they go back up for sale, you don't see the one you wanted, you can PM Rob (redeyedancer) and tell him what you want. He'll bend over backwards to make you a satisfied customer.
There's a valid reason why he has so many die-hard fans and supporters.

Ha! I meant no disrespect by using"manufacturer". It seemed like the most genuine reflection of my relationship at the moment as a "want to be" Reos user. It would be disengenous to refer to Mr. O'Niel in a way that implied I knew him. When my "koolaid" arrives it will all be different.

^^^ true that! Just wait....and no offense taken. I've heard "manufacturer" used before in connection with Reosmods, and it just rings funny every time.
