Kinda bothers me. I'm not trying to be too bratty, but "E-smoking" doesn't sit well with me. Shouldn't it be general vaping discussion? Am I being way too picky? We don't smoke anything...

I come here for the discussions, not because I am drawn to the name of the section. Yes this horse has been beaten too many times already. It's still not going to change. The site owner had legitimate reasons for not changing it.

I'm pretty sure you had no way of knowing. No penalty there. Just let the thread die a nice quick death and all will be well.

It is obvious that some people have to much time on their hands if they can spend time worrying and being bothered about something so small in the scheme of life.
IMO arrogance is coming to a forum that you can enjoy for free and then trying to tell those who own it how to run the place.

Really? Pot please meet Kettle!
Unnecessary is insulting those that provide a place that helps all of us using e-cigs. It is is like going to your friends house and then insulting their choice of decor or what they cooked you for dinner.

Of course you can always go back home and pay for your own decor and cook for yourself. Then you can decide how things are run.

Agree, Mikie. I'm going to admit to finding it tiresome, but there are reasons for the existing names, as well as for a name change. Can't say they all cancel out so it's still a debatable question.

Alexander, it goes back to what most people use as key words when searching for information. Maybe someday the general nomenclature will change and the site will keep up.

It would be exceptionally hard, to the point that it cannot be done short of completely closing the existing e-smoking sub forum - and access to every open thread that exists there - and completely reinventing that section of the forum. So it's not going to be done.

The only time it ever bothers me is when someone brings it up - yet again. Other than that I never even noticed it.

What Nermal said. The subject does come up at least once every two weeks and usually dies a quick death. The name isn’t for us so much as it’s for new people searching for information about ecigs. I just looked at the main page and there are 513 members and 1495 guests online here right now. There are also 11,906,156 posts on this forum. People that have been here a while understand and accept the reason why the names haven’t been changed.

I hope they do, they work their butts off to make this place work and give a place for people from many countries to come and chat, learn and help each other.

And that's all good and well. I agree completely. If I knew this would blow like this I'd have never said anything. However as a contributor to their source of income (traffic to their site, ad views, etc) I'm less of a 'guest in their house' and more of a 'customer' (indirect as it is) who has the right to simply post an opinion.
Again, it's really not a big deal.
