Hi everyone,

I want to try the Riva (buying it from altsmoke.com), but I don't feel like buying the whole starter kit. I was thinking about just picking up a spare battery and a charger. But I notice the only usb charger they have on the site is just for the 510, which I already have.

So I was wondering if they did this because the 510 charger works with the Riva???

Thanks for anyone who can help...also, anyone know any codes for altsmoke.com (just thought I'd through that out though)

PS - I'm also getting a Yeti Passthrough (on sale for $12.95) and LR 510 Atty...they're compatible right? I mean, usb passthroughs can handle LR attys and not blow up right?

The 510 charger should work but it is going to take a Long time to charge.

My 510 charger is rated at 150mAh. So if I charge my 650mAh eGo battery it should take 650/150 hours or 4.3 hours. But it doesn't, it takes more like 6 hours.

Double check with others but it shouldn't hurt a Riva battery.

No it won't hurt the Riva. But if you had the Quick Charger specifically for the Riva, you wouldn't be able to charge a 510 batt on it as that charger will fry the 510 battery.
Like zoiDman said, it will take about 6 hrs to charge a 650mah battery on a 510 charger @ 150mah rating (the quick/rapid charger is 450 to 500mah).

Ok, thanks for the reply zoiDman. I'm actually even wondering if I'm going to get the Riva now, especially since I'm getting the passthrough.

But I love me some nice thick clouds of vape, so here's the ultimate question for me:
What will get me the biggest vape clouds? I only drip and have removed the wick and bridge on my attys, and here are the three potential setups:
1. 510 Mega battery (wasn't impressing me till I removed the bridge from my atty)
2. Yeti (510) usb passthrough
3. Riva

Thanks for any input

Bert - it doesn't say on the site if its 3.7 or 5. Has anyone used the Yeti?

Also - is altsmoke even the right place to get this stuff? What I need is either a passthrough/riva, drip tips, and an atty that will give great vape. I figure the LR 510 would be the best for this...but I've never used 801/901 and don't know about their vape output

If it has an inline batt, probably 3.7v. If it does not have an inline batt, probably 5v

I have just about 1 of everything from alt smoke.. i wouldn't suggest you use a LR atty with a yeti usb passthrough your usb port puts out 5.5 to 6 volts as is using a lr atty may give u a burnt liquid taste and fry your atty. I've bought egics and atty's from a good handful of companies and i will tell you i am staying loyal to altsmoke. the riva is ok.. but i prefer the Ego, yeti and silverbullet. usually i just drip with a yeti passthrough and 510 atty. cant go wrong
