For my next purchase, I am looking at getting a USB passthrough, ideally something that would work on a Riva 510.

I have 2 questions:

1) Any recommendations for a passthrough compatible with the Riva 510? I've done some searches but haven't come up with much.

2)Generally, how long are the cords for these passthroughs. I would be using it in two places - one is within range of my PS3 and one is in range of a computer - both around 3-4 feet. Don't know if they are that long.

Thanks!

You won't be turning your Riva into a PT. It's a seperate unit. My PT is an eGo. 510 supplies for your Riva will work with it. The battery is in-line. You can charge and vape at the same time. Unplug it and you have a regular, portable PV. I much prefer these to the ones with the permanent wire attached.

I wouldn't suggest plugging it into your computer's USB port. Many sad stories about that. Hoosierecig.com has the wall adapters with a USB port for $1.99 last I looked. Good prophets and FSUSA also sell them among others.

The eGo PT is $20 to $25. It's not my main PV but it is my main peace-of-mind PV. If everything fails I have a plug-in backup. Love it! :)

Definitely. The one at GP is a pretty good deal. I got mine from Liberty Flights- probably close to the same price. I don't know why but mine seemed to die sooner than regular batteries. That's why I mentioned just getting the big battery without the pass-thru. Maybe it's just me though. I don't hear about a lot of people having issues with their pass-thru.

To add - if you find one that you like but the cord isn't long enough, USB extension cords are just a couple bucks on Amazon. I needed a 18" one a few weeks ago and I think I may have spent $3-4 shipped.

Thanks - I love Amazon and figured I could get an extender - wasn't positive if I'd mess anything up though. The charging cables that come with chargers/kits are so damn short..
