By the way, the white stickers are there because if the batteries are sent via air freight from Asia, they require those. Nothing to do with authentic vs fake. I am not familiar enough with the markings on the HE4's though to tell you what to look for, but you can peel off those labels and see what is underneath to start.

Those (if authentic) are 20 amp batteries. You can check out Mooch's bench tests on them HERE
I would recommend reading Battery Basics for Mods; the Ultimate Battery Guide that Baditude posted on his Blog.

I generally run 0.5 Ohm around 30-45 watts, anything higher gets a bit much for me personally. I run them off an IPV D2 with a single Samsung 25R battery (20 amp) and have no issues. I have run them at 50 watts than being a less pleasant vape than the lower wattages, it worked fine.

Again, I would read up a bit before using them, maybe ask Mooch to have a look to confirm if they are genuine. I just don't know enough about LG batteries to say for sure myself, sorry.

No one will be able to tell for 100% certain they are legit from pictures.

At the consumer/end user level there is no better way to be certain you're getting what you pay for than to only buy from reputable sources.

The " E " in the top line & the second line of letters & numerals concerns me, never seen any from the UK, things might be different.

If they are legit, 50w / 3.2v = 15.62a - 40w / 3.2v = 12.5a, both below the 20a CDR.
Resistance is almost irrelevant using a regulated APV, battery low voltage cutoff & wattage determine amp drain.

This is very true. In the end you could tear off the wraps to verify if they are genuine (if you know the correct things to look for) but then you have to re-wrap them, etc...
But yes, as Topwater Elvis said, the best/easiest way to know is to buy them from a reputable vendor like the 4 that I mentioned earlier as they buy direct from the manufacturers.
If you don't get an answer to this or feel 100% sure they are legit, you can set them aside and order another set. To me another pair from Illumn for $10 is worth the peace of mind.

I would also put some pics of the tops & bottoms of the batteries in here as well.

Exactly. Anyone can rewrap and print the proper codes on the battery.
A close examination of the terminals and design of the pos nipple would be the way to tell, barring running tests on them that is.

Also, not sure how much you paid for them, but the 4 big sites that are well respected and trusted to have Authentic Batteries:

18650 LG 18650HE4 2500mAh High Discharge Flat Top:

IMR Batteries for $6.50 each
Orbtronic for $5.99 each

Jon at LiIon should be very disappointed in your choice of phrasing. :(

:p

Much better way to put it. ;)

And yes... LiIonWholesale belongs in the list.

They have better prices than the other four as well, Edited that list :) Sorry Jon (if you are out there reading this). Thanks for the comment too, I had never used them before, now I will be when I re-order some batteries.
