Can e1 errors be from low ohms?

Remember, a provari is a VV device with a short circuit protection. Using a 0.8ohm atomizer will cause it to display E1. If you still would like a low ohm atomizer on the provari, I suggest using the lowest voltage setting. It may or may not work, but true sub-ohms is for mech mods. I think the lowest ohm a provari is supposed to do is 1.3ohm.

Low ohm limit is 1.0. As such, you will get an error if the voltage is too high due to the high current. I'm vaping a 1.0 ohm coil at 3.8 volts using an IGO-L right now. I lower the voltage to 3.0 and then adjust up until it's at the right voltage or it errors out.
