Hey, I'm sure that this question has been answered in someway, shape or form...but just in case...better safe than sorry right? I'm going to be taking a family trip at the end of June to Italy for 2 weeks. I do plan on bringing my e-cigarette (Ego-T) and 30mL of liquid. I know that Delta doesn't have any restrictions on e-cigarettes being brought on-board, but they do not allow their use while the plane is in-flight.

1) Will the TSA or Customs give me a problem leaving & entering the US with my ego-T & liquid?

2) Will Italy give me a problem leaving & entering the US with my ego-T & liquid?

Any help would be much appreciated...

Just got back from a trip to Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, flew from Houston to Newark, NJ to Barcelona Spain got on a cruise ship for 12 days and left from Venice, flew to Germany and back to Houston. Put all my batteries (12 of them) in a quart ziplock bag with a couple of business cards I got from the different e-cig companies, put my juice in another ziplock bag, I use cartomizers so I left most of them in their original boxes and had them in my makeup kit and put a couple of them in with my batteries but did not have them connected to the batteries, the chargers went with my camera charger and converters. The juice I got was all PG, which has less vapor. I vaped on the planes, cruise ship. tour bus, I was very careful not to exhale vapor on the plane or the bus but had no problems at all going thru customs or security and no one on the plane or bus was ever aware of what I was doing, I think they thought I was sucking on an inkpen. It was wonderful 7 hour flight going and 10 hour flight coming back.

Italy might be different, but I've never had anyone open my bag on arrival in any country except the US and one time pre-clearing in Canada. That includes France, Ireland, Switzerland, Iceland, Belgium, Finland, and Sweden- and Canada FWIW. My husband has an EU passport, so that may make a difference, but I'm always in the non-EU line.

If it's your first trip to Italy, and you're driving anywhere- get a pile of Euros in cash before you go anywhere. They have tollbooths what feels like every 100 yards on the Autostrada, and they like to eat American credit cards because they don't have a microchip on them.
Manga..manga...yeesh. We found out the hard way.

Have fun!!!!

Generally in western europe you will not have any problems. There are some countrys like belgium where it is forbidden to sell vape stuff, but you are allowed to use it. Italy no restrictions. Only thing you have to put the juice in a small plastic bag and show it to the customs, only because of the anti terrorism question.
At places where it is forbidden to smoke, you just ask if they would let you vape, at some places they will let you, at others not. Just being polite will help alot.

Everyone will stare at you vaping. They all smoke in Italy.
Anyhow, they stare whether you are vaping or not...
In Europe people look at eachother much more than we do here in the USA.
In Florida i can always detect a European in s supermarket, he is the only one staring at my wife!

Why? Is she that ugly? (Only joking :) )

Seriously though - I must confess that I do look at people (they are interesting) but I've never found it it has caused problems on my frequent visits to the US - perhaps you should all do it more...
