Hey everyone!

I've been vaping for about three months. Something occurred to me the other day, if my mods die I'm screwed. Let's say all my mods die, is it possible to build a mod entirely from parts I can find at Radio Shack, Wal-mart, etc? I am not handy at all. Is there a relatively easy PV even I could make if I really had to? If some one gives me step by step instructions I will make one just to see if I can. I would like to know that if my mods fail, or I lose them, etc. that I could make one to hold me over. I just never want to be in a position where I have to go back to analogs, even if just for a few days.

Thanks,

Tim

depending on the connectors you use. I have made the "Puck" which can be found in the Battery Mods section (highly recomended). I love my "Puck" I just had one of those instances where ALL 1 of my batteries died lol. That sucked and Puck saved my a**! I also made a usb passthrough over the weekend so I didn't waste a bunch of normal AAA's because I was lacking rechargeable ones.

Usb PT's are one of the best I think aswell. Nowadays everyone has USB hubs everywhere, from the PC at home to a car cell phone charger. I take my USB PT in the car and Use my puck while away from electric sources. Atleast until I get my replacement batts anyhow.

I use Kr808 cartomizers so I can use the M sized coaxial connectors from RadioShack.

I just now got back from Radio shack and the Beer store. It for sure is possible from radio shack i don't think you could swing it at wallymart though. I really dont like to to radio shack but i was bored and wanted to try out the PWM circuit posted up in another thread. Plus i was down to my last Samuel Adams. Batteries and a battery side connector are the main ones to work around. They do have a RCA connector that folks have used for a battery side connector but i believe it only works with a 901 atomizers. They dont carry any singly protected li ions it seems but i did find this joker just now i should have bought one while there to see whats inside my guess is it has two 18500 in it. UltraLast® 7.2V/1600mAh Li-ion Battery for Nikon EN-EL3(A) - RadioShack.com Damn i need to go back to the rat shack now for that price and rip one apart. Although might just be a typo 97cents seems too good to be true. Other then that you can go the puck style with the 4 nihm batteries.

Just another way get hit if you really need to. Mind you This IS NOT SMART lol I have a 4xAA battery box and I just hold the red wire to the center post and the black to the treads where it screws onto your connector. Make sure the wires dont touch eachother and hit the on switch! Honestly it works great, just probably not the safest way to go about it. I did this while building my Puck the first day when my batt died.

Only things that RS won't have would be the batts (unless you try and pull apart one of their pack like the Nikon listed above) or the connector (and even the connector can be fudged if necessary). If you're just doing this to have a spare around and "see if you can" (think that's how most started modding LOL), it would probably be cheaper in the long run to just grab a DIY Kit from Madvapes.

Best of luck
