OK, so I am fairly new to the e-cig world. I am a 25 year smoker who a couple weeks ago bought a Krave disposable from my local Dollar General store. It said that the kit would last me as long as a couple packs of cigarettes and I was really disappointed when it was empty the next day after only puffing it a few times. Good thing is I just found out that I can recharge the battery with my new charger so I refilled the carto and all's good (got my $7 worth out of the thing).

Because of my experience with the Krave I decided to try something else, figuring that the Krave was probably one of the worst e-cigs on the market considering I bought it at DG. So I headed to a nearby headshop that sells 901-T kits. After buying the $50 kit and some juice I headed home and that's what I've been smoking since.

Now that you have my back story, let's get to the point.

The 901-T needs refilled and recharged way too often so I ordered an eGo the other day figuring that at least I won't need 4 batteries to keep up. Now I'm wondering how to use the eGo. I really want to drip while at home and then get a nice big tank for when I am out and about. Wit all the different eGo options I'n just not sure if I bought the right one. I guess I need something that's versatile. Maybe dripping at home and then using cartomizers while out.

What should I get to vape the way I'm wanting to? How to drip the eGo? It will be a little easier to understand the thing once I get it but trying to decide what I need to order so I'll have it all here and ready to go at the same time.

Also would like advice on which drip tip to get. I have none now and can't decide between glass, acrylic or stainless.

I don't really get the differences between n eGo/eGo-t/eGo-C,etc. Will cartos work with the regular eGo I bought? Can I also drip the same unit? It's all just a little confusing.

Thanks for any help offered.

Oh ya....bought my first pack of smokes in a week today. Hated doing it but I just can't bring myself to buy another atty for the 901 when the eGo will be here any day now. Smokes taste like sh-t and really looking forward to vaping again.

anything with 510 threading will fit an ego battery no matter if it is the t, c, or twist they all have the same threads. Yus can direct drip with an ego, use a carto, a clearo, a vivi nova. You can also but a 901 to 510 adapter and use your 901 stuff. With the adapters out there most ecigs are quite versatile now.

Welcome , and as said already , with an ego , you can use all the 510 stuff . Probably want to stick to the lower resistance devices , you can buy some LR atty's for dripping , and a mini-nova tank , or some Ego stardusts , also sold as Ego visions . Again you will have better performance out of the LR stuff . And although they work pretty good , steer clear of the DCT's ( dual coils ) as they really drain Ego batteries . Other than that , have fun . And keep on vaping .

With an eGo battery you will find that you will want an atty somewhere around 1.8-2 ohm. The ones that come with the kit are Ok to learn on but you will find them a little high in resistance which leads to a weak vape. Don't worry all that much about which drip tip to get, just get what floats your boat. If your like the rest of us you will end up with a bazillion of the things laying around anyway. It's also a good idea to pick up a drip shield cone for your eGo. empiremods.com is a good place to get one.

Main thing is to enjoy, don't get all that upset when you get dry hits, flood the atty, leaks all over the place, and on and on. It's just part of the learning curve, and we've all been there.

    How to drip the eGo?

Take off the tank and drip few drops of juice to the atomizer. Take an empty tank and remove the plastic cap from the end. Insert it normally in the atomizer and use it as a cheap drip tip.

    I don't really get the differences between n eGo/eGo-t/eGo-C,etc.

The differences are minor. The "T" in Ego-T means simply that it's a tank system instead of cartos. Ego-C is the same except the "C" stands for "changeable" - you can change the atomizer head only as opposed to older models where you need to replace the whole atomizer. It's a bit cheaper in use. All optional stuff (cartos, tanks, batteries etc etc) are interchangeable between all models.

it gets kinda discouraging hearing thats there's a learning curve... i dont have the money to endure learning curves lol

That's what the forum is for ;) If you read carefully and ask questions, the money I (and others) blew will be well spent. Pay it forward!

When you think about how much you would typically spend smoking if you're more of a heavier smoker.... The cost of your learning curve depending on how much you research is debatably about even. Even if you smoke a half pack a day... if you're lucky your smokes cost about 7$ a pack(it's climbing to 9$ here in CT)... Roughly 100$ per month is going to smokes. A good start-up kit shouldn't be more than 40-60$, plus cartos, some juice you still break even for that month. Then consider the gear you bought is going to last you waaay longer than a month. Once you find what you like(and if you do research, you really can get lucky and like your first kit) you only spent money on juice, maybe cartos/attys here and there. If you end up DIY/make your own juice the savings are even greater because then you never have to buy juice if you don't want to.

Start up costs can seem daunting, but when you consider the over-all what you spend vaping vs smoking you do save money once you find your groove.

As many have echoed for the first question... You have an eGo. It should be 510, yes you can drip with an eGo. Just buy yourself an atomizer(make sure its 510) if for some reason your eGo kit did not come with one, a drip tip, and volia you're ready to go. If for whatever reason you want to try a different threaded atomizer you can find threading adapters to turn your 510 device into a 901/306/etc. Easy bet is just buying at least two 510 atomizers. Atomizers are great, but tricky little suckers as they can mysteriously die. If you run into this, clean the atty first before quickly dismissing it dead. Sometimes, they're just gunked up and need a good scrub a dub dub.
