Can I select which forums in New Posts

When I visit the forum, I use the New Posts button almost exclusively.

On another forum I visit, there's a setting where you can select which forums/sub-forums will show up when using this tool, but I can't find it here.

Is there a way to do this?

Obviously, there's a lot of forums here and when viewing new posts it makes it much more difficult when posts/threads in sub-forums that you have no interest in keep showing up.

The feature that allows you to select which forums show up in a "What's New" search is an addon. Unfortunately, it's not installed here. I'm not even sure there's a working one for vBulletin 4. I had originally ponied up for it when 4 was released and the coder squelched on the deal. It wasn't long after that when I dumped vBulletin like a hot potato and went to something better.

You can subscribe to the sub-forums in which you have an interest (under forum tools), then go to your settings page, and it will show any of those with new posts as highlighted.

Thanks sonic, I knew about that, but it's pretty cumbersome and with so many sub-forums there's still about 40 I'd need to subscribe to.
