Maybe a little carried away with making new sub-forums?

I think they are getting a little carried away with the number of sub-forums and moving threads to them. I have little enough time to spend reading on here, let alone time to move from one sub-forum to another to another.

When I take the time to write a thread, I post it here thinking that people will get to see it. I have never seen a post moved incorrectly. It is moved to a sub-forum that it applies to. I just know that it will get less reads in that sub-forum than it will get here.

I also have had a post moved appropriately to a sub-forum, when I had specifically posted here rather than the sub-forum.

Just thoughts here. (my guess is that they will move this one to a suggestion's sub-forum, where nobody will read it there either. LOL)

I also go through and read the subforums that I am interested in, or that may be relevant to me.

I read any subforums that I may find interesting. I think it is good for the mods to organize the forums. It just takes some time to look for what you want. The search feature is good in that respect too. I use it often.

Actually the new subforums are a welcome change, makes it easier to find the information your looking for without digging through tons of threads your not interested in.

I like the sub forums. I was starting to get tired having to wade through all of the Lava Tube hype since I haven't gotten to buy one :--)

Yeah seems to be too many sub-fourms for the amount of user that are here..who knows though if this site grows a lot they could come in handy and be used more..there are a lot of new members everyday in the new members section...

I for one agree with the OP.
Seems like a thread on a sub forum gets a couple of reads where a thread on the main forum gets hundreds.
We now have sub forums without a single post in them. A sticky thread would have worked better.

I accept the subforum structure and if I want to give site feedback I'd put it there, and it will still show up under New Posts, so plenty members will read it. I doubt site admins are going to find it buried in general e-smoking when they look for feedback.
This post is an example - it hasn't got anything to do with ecigs. All this does is make more work for volunteer mods.
I guess it comes down to whose time you value.

As a new owner ofa Provari, I was happy to see the new Provari sub forum open up the day I got my "it shipped" email.

Now there's a pacific place for me to go for info on my new device.

ROFLMAO, I can't believe this was moved after I said this in the post. This is a perfect example of what I was talking about. You did notice there were some poeple that agreed didn't you?

I just think, I don't know what I think. I know one thing for certain. It will get less reads and less replies here. That is an absolute fact no matter how many people say other wise. (for example - this is the first time I have opened the 'feedback' sub-forum)

On april fools Day I'll move all 4million plus post into a single forum and let the users see how that works
