I got some diy supplies for the first time and got all pg base nic and a thing of vg. Made some flavors and tried them out, but started feeling sickish, I don't know if because it was mainly vg I added to the mix, that maybe it didn't mix well and I ended up vaping mostly nic?? I use a 48mg base to bring the batches down to 12mg,I shook it for a long time, to mix. I've never tried diy and I've never used tpa flavorings until now, unless vendors I bought pre-made juice from had tpa flavors in there which is possible. Wondered if the flavorings could make me feel bad? Started sweating and had a terrible headache. I've been vaping a couple yrs now and vape mainly 50/50 when I used vendor juices and never had much of a adverse reaction to any. I've tried a lot of juice and never had this happen. Any ideas? The nic came from wizard labs. I put the batches in a drawer, added a couple drops of d/water to thin a little and I'm gonna let them steep for a while and do a test vape again to see what happens, any help would be appreciated

The only reaction I have heard of from vg is usually described as a heaviness in the lungs. Not a wheeze or irritation, but just a feeling that you can't breathe as deeply as usual. You might be having a different reaction to it, but it really sounds like you should be checking the actual nicotine level. Anyhow, that's my take on the symptoms you are describing, though it doesn't sound unlikely if you started from 48mg base.

I wondered if it was nic positioning at first, it might have been, but that's what I thought as you that it wasn't since I had a 48 mg base? Kinda felt off all day but not as sick anymore. I really wanna get a handle on this diy stuff

Sounds like you possibly over nic'd yourself, highly doubt its a reaction to the VG.

Try vaping just straight VG (no nic, no flavorings) and see if you get the same reaction.

Another vote for to much nic here. I ordered some nic with a vg base. It took so long to cut it down/ place in smaller containers I was feeling rough for a bit from the fumes. Which really sucks, I mean if I'm gonna over nic I should at least get some good vape from it! I get my stuff from wizard labs and it's been great quality thus far. You may want to consider tossing that batch of liquid if you think your math might have been off and have way to high of nic. It seems crazy to toss what maybe good juice, but it only costs you a few cents and you can make more. Best of luck!

Agree - it sounds like 'too much nic' to us, too. And if the underlined above is correct (you used 48mg base to "bring down" the percentages to 12 mg?) - then that's what happened. You can't use 48mg/ml to dilute a mix DOWN to 12 ml...you'd have to use the no-nic VG to do that.
