Can someone make me a variable volt adapter to use on a regular 5-volt passthrough?

I am not a modder, nor do I wish to be one. I thought this would be the best place to post my plea. I spend most of my vaping time with V4L's 5-volt passthrough. I like cartomizers. I recently have been using dual coil LR and Volt cartos on eGo or Volt batteries when I'm on the go. I'd like to be able to use them on a passthrough. I don't like these cartos at 5 volts.

I'm also finding some flavors of e-liquid taste better at different voltages. I think someone (maybe Clouds of Vapor) used to offer such a thing, but whoever made them didn't like making them because they were such a pain. If I had one, I could pop it on a new passthrough when my current one finally breaks. I don't want to buy a big vv mod that requires battery charging or spend the bucks on a decent one. Maybe I would if it were really good and it also worked as a passthrough if I could get replacement cables for it easily.

Can someone help me please?

I don't know about an adapter, but I have decided my first VV will be a box mod that plugs into the wall. ( no batteries ) It will be based on Mamu's mod and will be powered by a 12v transformer. ( laptop charger )
Like this, but smaller box because of no batteries. View attachment VV BOX MOD V2.pdf
It will look like the mod below but with voltage meter.

Keep an eye out, I'll post it next week or the week after, I'm waiting for the transformer.

If you like it we can work something out in a trade, I'm not looking to become a supplier.

Edit - the vv board on this is only rated 3 amps, so you'll prolly only be able to turn it
up to about 4.2v's on the 1.5 ohm dual coils. You said 5v's was too hot so this prolly won't
be an issue. ( 2.0 ohm LR's and reg cartos, you'll be able to go higher )

Hey! Alright VpnDrgn! Maybe I can get what I want! I like the idea of plugging it into the wall instead of plugging a USB plug into a wall adapter. The less, the better! I'm excited! I love creating things and can admire others who create/design/make stuff - just never got into electronic stuff myself (although many, many years ago in highschool shop class, I learned to build a lamp. I remember making another tiny one out of a 7-up can and then I made a lampshade with the logo to match.) That's about as far as I ever got with doing anything electrical. Most people don't understand how much work can go into making something, so I really admire that you understand this stuff.

Caution.... IDK what the deal with the V4L PTs are but some have cautions about using standard AC adapters with them. This may apply to the vv too. For example:

2 amp AC to USB Adapter, ideal for Passthroughs

See the "Please Note" part:
Please note: These appear to not be compatible with V4L passthroughs and we are working with V4L to see if the problem can be resolved.

Since I don't know what the issue is, I cannot comment about it further.

You could have them make you:
a vv power supply and a direct PT
a vv PT (put the regulator on the PT, not the power supply)

EDIT: OH, and if you can have them make 2, sell one to this guy:

Also, they make VV power supplies for electronics projects.... you'd just need a <whatever>-to-USB connector made, since USB is a 5 volt standard.

Have you tried the "dual coil LR" on your passthrough? What are you using to power this passthrough?

A 5-volt, 2000mA USB wall plug. I don't think it would be a good idea to try the dual coil at 5 volts. I think some people like LR cartos at 5 volts, but I don't even like V4L's WOW cartos at 5 volts. Their ClearCarts are OK though. I don't remember what the resistance on those are ATM, but ClearCarts are higher than WOW cartos.

I tried a dual coil carto on the 5-volt passthrough (moment of bravery I suppose) and it behaves totally different - it's great at 5-volts! Flavor is great and no harsh throat hit! I'd still like a variable volt passthrough though. I want compare Volt/Bloog cartos to the others and I don't want those dinky little batteries to do it.
