Can these Cartos be manually punched??

ETA: Those are the black wrapped cartos. Ya may want to use the steel/stainless/plain cartos for your tanks. It's a pain to remove that black wrapper and adhesive...

The one from COV is nice, but $40 is pretty damn expensive for something that just punches your cartos. Plus then you have to pay shipping and wait for it to come in.
You can go buy a saddle valve from a hardware store for like $5-7 bucks and they work well to punch cartos

Iffy, if you put them in the fridge they're easier to come off.

Go to the hardware store and buy the piercing saddle valve, it is for icemakers, usually on a bottom shelf in a baggie. You can ask for help if you can't find it, just remember it is for an icemaker. Very inexpensive, punches cartos in a snap!
