6V eats regular attys up like candy. When I first started using 6V, I would kill an atty every 3 or 4 days. After some practice, it got better. I can keep some of them alive for a couple of weeks.

I've been meaning to give some of the "HV" attys another shot, now that I've learned to keep the regular ones alive a while. I stopped buying them, because I was killing them almost as fast as the regular ones, and they're more expensive.

I tried an LR atty @ 3.7V, and it tasted kind of "burnt" to me.

I finally bought a 5V mod, but now I can't find the freakin' charger for those batteries. I'll probably order one after I get some sleep and some mo' money hits my bank account later today. I hope I like it as well as I like the 6V, and that it is easier on atomizers.

Anything above 3.7v is pretty much down to how good you are at maintaining attys, and obviously getting good quality ones. The LR ones you have to pay extra attention to and keep very wet but they do work well if you can keep up with them. Cartomizers are easier to look after but at higher voltages you'll burn through the juice in them a lot quicker.
