Can U tell Clearomizers apart without opening the package?

I went a little crazy ordering eight of the new Clearomizers in various ohm’s and wick length. I received them today, Yea!, but I didn’t get what I ordered, Boo!

Most were loose in the bag and half were supposed to have Long Wicks, only ONE does, so… I don’t have any idea what I have. :glare:

How do I tell the 2.5-2.9 ohm apart from the 2.1-2.4 ohm without opening the package? For that matter, how do you tell them apart IF I open the package?

Can I even be sure I have the new ones? The CE4+. I ordered from GotVapes so I'm pretty sure I ordered the right ones. VISION Stardust 510 NEW TUBES! : GotVapes.com, E-cigarette Supplies - Atomizers Cartomizers Mods Juice and more

Thanks!

I believe some VV mods with the display have the option to test voltages or ohms on the cartos. If not i think there are also devices you can screw on to test the voltages made for PV's. I know the Provari has this option, not sure what else.

As for noticeable markers, I'm not sure but leaning towards no.

Most times vendors have the ohms listed on either the outside of the individual wrapper or outside of the box that they came in. As for the rest I don't know, someone who orders these things might be better able to answer. But if you feel like you didn't get what you ordered, I'd suggest you contact the vendor.

I am a frequent customer of gotvapes- get all my clearos there- but I have not used the CE4 or stardust, so I can't really help. I would suggest that you head over to their forum GotVapes where you will find more people with clearo experience. They are a very helpful and friendly bunch. Of course, there is a very friendly and helpful bunch here too, just a little more hit or miss with the clearo experience. ;)

I've never seen markings on the ones I buy so I've always had to ohm them out with my meter to keep them all sorted. Super easy to do...put the meter on ohms, red lead to center post, black to the threads just outside post. Might be a little awkward with the recessed ego design but it'll do the trick. Also, remember to subtract out the resistance of your meter's test leads.

I always punch the meter test leads through the cello to test for DOA clearos as soon as they arrive. Don't expect the numbers to match the rating exactly, especially the Star Dusts since they have a press fit connection rather than soldered connections, but you can tell which ones are higher.

If you want a more accurate number you touch the leads together and read the number displayed (lead resistance) and subtract that number from the reading.

If you cant get a reading with the Star Dust in the cello, because the connections are recessed, take it out of the package and use a 510 adapter or extension to make it easier to work on.

Relax, Enjoy!
