I'm trying to figure out how many different types of cartomizers there are out there and what the real differences are.

The best I can tell there are three different threadings - 808, 801 & 510.

Then there are the original 'hard top' (those that the end cap can't be easily removed) and the 'soft top'.

Then came the new-old style (pretty much the same thing, but somehow they work better)

And there are the carto's that are supposed to run at a cooler temp.

And then came the mega size.

Now I'm reading about a totally new design with a porcelain interior that doesn't need any filler.

I really don't want to place orders with multiple vendors to find that I'm getting the same thing with different names.

Can anybody shed some light on who has what?

Wow, I was just thinking the same thing. I'm having a hard time keeping it all straight too.

I am thinking of them this way right now for ones I use or would consider.

2 main categories
KR808 (I use these)
510

For KR808
There seems to be the old design which I used (from V4L) and the new breed which work better and have a soft rubber cap.

V4L = Premium (never tried)
Vapornine = Turbo (never tried)
Cigeasy = Gold Label (currently using - very happy over old V4L cartos)

That's how I'm keeping it straight now. I'm happy with the Gold Label KR8s so don't really plan to buy a bunch of new hardware to try the 510.

The porcelain thing sounds interesting.

I think the E2 (porcelain) cartos are still being tweaked. I haven't read the latest on them but I don't want to have to use a needle to fill with. I am also a KR8 user and have tried the ole ones, V4L cool carts, premiums, Cigeasy's gold labels and Vapor9 Turbos. My choice out of all of these was the Turbos by far. Cartos are a bit like taste tho and somewhat subjective. I have a link buried somewhere that might help a bit...if I can find it I'll edit here and post it.

Are the E2s KR8 or 510 ? Who sells these?

Clouds of Vapor sells these for both the 510 and the 801:
Cartomizers

If you order, make sure you choose the ones that say E2, there are quite a few choices there.
I have tried the E2s and really don't like the hassle...you have to fill them with a syringe and I think it's a bit messy, but maybe that's just me. Dripping is my gig most of the time...if I have to use a carto, i.e. when I'm driving, I get mine from ProVape, they are good. I don't get that burning taste that has been common when I've ordered elsewhere. They are also easy to add drips to with a drip tip, as the filler is packed so that the juice can drip down to the atty easily.
This carto stuff can be very confusing and expensive if you get the wrong ones, lol!

I have tried 4VL Coolcarts,Vapornine turbo and Cigeasy gold label. Personaly I prefer the V4L. I think they have the best flavor and th. But thats just me. All these are for KR808. Im still searching for 510 cartos. I have tried them from a couple of different vendors. I like the HP 510 from cloudsofvapor. but Im on a seach now for LR 510 Cartos. Been using ikenvape's and there pretty good. Like I said still searching.

Vapornine sells 'Turbo' cartomizers and Vapor4Life has 'Premium' and Cigeasy has the 'Gold Label'. I'm guessing they're the same thing?

And V4L has blank 'WOW' cartomizers, when what I'd read in the V4L threads was that they were named b/c of the juice not the cartomizer themselves.

If that's the case, then why would there be blank ones?

I can appreciate that a vendor wants to make a product unique by giving them a name, but it really does make it difficult to know what you're buying.

Imagine if Chevy made a new model and called it the 'Chevy Bailout' but each dealership assigned it a different name.

The vapornine Turbos are the ones I want to try and compare to the Gold Label which I really love so far.

Hey Pav, want to swap a Gold Label for a Turbo so we could both see if we're missing anything?

I'd also like to try a Cool Cart ~ anybody want to trade one for a Turbo?

Not sure how much this will help but I did find the link someone shared with me. On the right hand side you will see KR8 Boge list and 510 List.

I prefer to refill by dripping through the battery end. Will this work and make the syringe unnecessary?

Provape isn't in the chart that Bovinia posted. Wonder how theirs compare.

I bought one 5-pack of the new CE2s (with ceramic inside) for 808s and 510s. The only way to fill them is with a syringe. The syringe has a little tiny hose and no needle. It's messy and each time I fill a carto. I lose liquid.

I like the flavor of the liquids better using these cartomizers, but I don't like wasting liquid! Also, the 510s work fine, but I'm getting a burning taste with the 808s.

Clouds of Vapor is selling both, although he's out of stock right now. To be honest, I don't know if I'm going to order any when they are back in stock.

Almost forgot to mention that I use V4L's cool carts and premiums. I like the cool carts for juice w/ a lot of VG and dark colors. I like the premiums w/ lighter colored liquids.

I agree with this post almost entirely. V4L has ALL soft tops now, I am pretty sure you will not find any hard tops unless you buy OLD prefilled cartos.

I have used them all, and believe the V4L coolcarts are best for VG, and the premiums for PG. Just like vaporgal, although, I have now moved on to 510's. I wish I had not given all my 808 carts to my x-wife now, and I could send them to someone that would use them, as opposed to someone that is screwing them all up, and calling me whining all the time.

The turbos and gold are the same as the premiums from my experience.
I have the CE2 on the way as we speak, and will be trying them out (on a 510 mod mind you)

I'm not sure if ProVape is Boge, the threads are silver and the box they came in is white and say "Atomized Cartridges" on the front and on the side is written "SGS" and "Dekang Inside" with a warning label on the other side.
All I can say is that I've tried cartos from 3 other well known vendors and I had a problem with all of them having a burning taste to them, they didn't wick the liquid very well, would either flood or burn and then when I wanted to top off, would not wick the liquid to the atty very quickly...and most of the time just tasted like crap.
The ProVapes wick very well, have a nice little hole in the center of the filler so that once you need to start dripping I can put a drip tip on it and be assured that the liquid is going where it needs to and NOT in my mouth...ewww.

So do you really notice that the vapor is cooler w/the cool carts? I really don't like warm vapor, so I've been using a drip tip which makes it a little cooler. If the temp difference is noticeable, I will definitely order some asap.

It's all about the ohm resistance that makes the difference between them, they all adopted the standard new carto design (same as we did) my last blanks were 2.8ohm and i liked the warm vapor and intense flavor (same as v4l premium) but for people with HV mods they wanted 3.3 and upwards ohm to run cooler so they wouldnt get so warm, so that's what i ordered last week, gotta listen to the customers lol.
