From what I understand, RDAs are more capable of producing those luscious clouds...but don't fret, RTAs built the right way can produce just as much if not more! Cloud production depends on a multitude of factors such as what type of juice (the more vegetable glycerin the better the cloud), your type of wicking, the power of your device (an ego won't produce what a vv/vw can), and of course, your type of atty. the Kayfun is a very popular RTA. I've noticed there seems to be a greater selection of RDAs on the market as opposed to rebuildable tank atomizers. Many vapers swear by RDAs, but I'm unable to constantly keep dripping so I prefer RDAs. The z-atty is a good one as well, but I'm not as familiar with it. There is also something called a Reo that acts with an RDA but the bottle of eliquid sits inside of the mod itself, yet it allows you to vape on the RDA without having to constantly keep dripping. There's so many variables so it ultimately depends on how much you want to vape.

I was just curious if z atty pro and kayfun are rbas that you don't have to drip and get the same vapor production

I'd have to say no for several reasons.

if you want the biggest "clouds", you'll want to vape %100VG juice which is thick. You can use that in a tank system, but it won't wick as fast. So, you could vape, and wait for it to wick back up, which you could just drip and re-vape. The second concern, is you can have multiple coils (four or more) in a dripper, and the most I've seen on a tank system is two. If there were more than two, I'd be concerned about the heat getting to the rest of the juice. So, if you're just going for clouds, I'd have to say no.

HOWEVER, to me, vaping isn't about the clouds, it's about the quality. vaping clouds is more for aesthetic reasons, and to me has little to do with quality of vape. I vape both dual and single coils, and my go to device is a genesis style tank, single coil. It produces a steady amount of vapor, and great flavor. There are other tanks that produce good vapor. My dual coil Aqua is what I use on my mech mod. it gives me some warmth and is virtually leak proof. I use that for my higher VG jucies too, since it has a juice control that can keep up wtih the coils. I am hesitant to go too low on the ohms though, due to the fact that if I heat it up too much, it might affect the un-vaped juice in the tank.

I use primarily rba tanks. I vape them at 30-50 watts. Several of my tanks can also be used as drippers. I find there is no advantage of an rda over an rba. My current tank systems are the Flash-e-Vapor V2, the Russian, Aqua, Taifun GS, with a GT on the way. I do have a Nimbus rda, but rarely use it, find it a pain to drip in order to vape. Me like tanks.

My Kayfun produces respectable clouds with some lower ohm coils, like 1-1.5, and would probably produce more with sub-ohm coils, but I've always used it to experience a more flavorful vape, as opposed to a more vapor-ful vape. I've just started playing around with RDA's, which I've found to be the opposite - decent flavor with much more vapor. There's always a trade off unless you're willing to find a nice balance between the two and be happy with it.

Thanks for all the help guys I'm somewhat of a noob to vaping just started vaping about a month ago I own a sentinel m16 mod (not the clone) with the trident v2 rda and regularly vape with my mvp 2.0 along with mini protank 2...my set up I'm going for is the provari 2.5 with a kayfun and drill some holes into It for some awesome clouds

I have the ehpro Kayfun clone, and I've been very happy with its vapor production. You won't get those "elite status clouds" that you can get with a dripper, but it's more than enough for the average pleasure user who looks for decent cloud production.

There are, of course, a ton of factors, including how you're wicking, what coil you've built, what juice you're using, and how hot you're burning. I tend to use a coil anywhere between 1.5-1.9 ohms, and vape at anywhere from 8 to 11 watts. Almost always using maximum VG.
