Hi, i'd like to try out an atomizer with TC mode.. i've read it's safer.
Can you do MTL hits on a TC Atomizer? as they often seem to be sub-ohm.
thanks.

Welcome!

The TC coils *are* sub-ohm because of the nature of the material making up the coil. However, you're only setting the wattage to get to the *temperature* at which you want to vape. I don't see why you couldn't MTL with TC coils. I, personally, prefer more airflow than a true MTL, but it's more like how I'd "slip-stream" when I smoked.

Cheers.
I've always tried to just inhale only as far as my throat when vaping - skipping the second inhale to the lungs as i would with analogs. I've never liked the feeling of vapour in my lungs.
When i tried my friends sub-ohm kit i found that the vast amount of air-flow forced you to inhale straight into your lungs.. which i found uncomfortable.
Could you recommend me a setup - with sufficient airflow to cool down the coil yet not too much to force mouth-lung hits? I'm using an Istick TC40W battery which can only use ni200 coils.

You could use a Nautilus or Nautilus Mini tank with the Triton MINI ni200 coils. Or you could get a Triton Mini tank. The coils are compatible across all the tanks.
Thanks, but i'm specifically avoiding Aspire coils due to the 'proprietary' nature of their wicking material; i read that it's 'ceramic paper' is actually fiber glass... -> anything proprietary when it comes to something your inhaling is a no from me.

That used to be the case, but as far as I know, not anymore! The coils I have purchased since 2016 are all cotton. I even took a toothpick and destroyed one just to make sure and it felt the same as my organic cotton I used for my RDAs. I still have 4 of the Ni200 coils for the Nautilus/Triton Mini, and I do believe they are 100% cotton wicking.

Hmmmm, last I knew, they were using cotton in the Nautilus/Triton Mini heads?

If you want to avoid the Aspire coils, you can hunt down the eGo One tanks that use CL/CLR(ebuildable) coils. Those are wicked with cotton.

cheers,
It does seem Triton coils just use cotton.
If i were to go with the; Triton Nickel 0.15mm which out of the Nautilus and Triton mini would you recommend?
I've previously owned the Nautilus mini with the BVC coils, but i was hoping for an upgrade to the clearomizer with the move to TC coils.
Does the Triton mini offer any improvements over the Nautilus in terms of airflow e.t.c.?
