Can you fill cartirdge AND drip onto atomiser?

This i am a little confused about....I am getting new ecig any day now and doing a checklist so I have the proper info to use my first ecig correctly without having to check out loadsa threads here(have already checked hundreds on different issues) and in my excitement get things wrong....my main question is can you fill up the blank cartridge and after blowing out atomiser put some drips on that too?

Also is this an adequate checklist for first time users:

DSE 901 model

1. charge battery for 8 hours first time(heard debates on this?),4 from then on(or until light goes green)
2. blow out primer from atomiser from battery end using paper towel to soak up liquid
3. Take out filling from cart and drip a few drops.put filling in and drip more until its full but not leaking.dab off any excess(also I want to cut a v thin straw and stick that down the side to get more in...and then stick cartridge into a bag and whizz it round to get more drops in!)
4. when atomiser is de-primed(?!) drip 2-3 drops but no more onto it.

Also can I just check are there any parts of the ecig that I shouldnt touch apart from the eliquid.I have never taken one apart and seen the inside so I dont know if this is even possible?And for auto batteries does anyone have a thread for special dripping technique as ive heard this is harder than manual?

Hi,

I think you've given this a lot of thought but may be making life difficult for yourself. Start the easy way:

Charge the battery until the light goes green and then use it. Use a cartridge.
Only blow out the atomiser if you dislike the taste. If you do that then reprime the atomiser with 3 drops of e-liquid. Put the cart back on.

When the cart gets dry use another (keep the old one). When you're used to this try topping-off.

Do not try to disassemble the atomiser or battery. Don't bother with the straw mod or anything fancy until you've got used to vaping "normally". Then, when and if you decide to try an "improvement", you'll have a standard/baseline to compare it to.

P.S. If you have automatic batteries don't try dripping with them just yet. It's easy to get e-liquid in them by mistake and kill them off. Stick to carts until you're comfortable with your e-cig.

Thankyou epipeman...will rewrite my notes....haha...sill question but is topping off dripping onto the atomiser...or dripping a few drips into the carts?the lingo is confusing me a bit...is there a thread where there are explanations???a dictionary of sorts?

Topping off means adding drops to the cartridge until the stuffing in it is saturated. Dripping means adding 2-3 drops directly on the bridge of the atomizer. Dipping means dipping the bridge of the atomizer into the juice. You can only do that with an open atomizer like an M401 type.

Houdini....thankyou very much...when you are new here reading thousands of posts and thinking you know what youre talking about all of a sudden the basic words get confusing....

anyway looks like im waiting til monday to get my 901...was told itd be here today/tomorrow latest but i dont think ireland do post on a saturday(maybe they do closer to xmas) would be delighted to be told im wrong....sigh

made a purchase from heaven gifts today too....as long as its here by xmas i should be okay for juice(sent ems)...would anyone recommend buying closer just in case?(remembering im in ireland n post seems to take forever to get here : o( )

I know it can get confusing. I'm sure you can't wait to get your first ecig too. From what I can remember from the Harry Potter movie it's "No Post On Sunday" so maybe you will get it tomorrow.

I thought of that when you refer to the mail as "post". Here in the U.S. it's mail. The first time I ever heard it referred to as Post was in a Harry Potter movie.

wonder if i have any other irishisms im unaware of???apart from saying "its grand" all the time(noticed that in london!)

maybe im overcomplicating it but i dont understand the point in having a sub perfect(?) model when i can create a near to perfect one(or nearER)...Hoping to do my homework and get creative!!!

This is the best gadget/adult toy (in an innocent way!) ive come across...definitely my new hobby....and xmas is around the corner... : o)

think itll be my birthday for a chuck(feb)tho...maybe i should get one with harry potter on it?or postman pat!!!
