So I decided to take a trip to a local vape shop to see if I can grab some new liquid and possibly a new vivi nova pack. When I get there I seen lots of kanger and other familiar items but not when it came to vivi nova. This is my first time ever seeing this particular type. Its a very small 2ml version with 4 wick on a 1.5ohm! The build and look is almost identical to my kanger. I said what the hell, and decided to try it. The cost was $8 bucks BTW. The vape is actually great! Lots of flavor, vapor, and zero burned taste just the same as the vivi nova I'm used to.

So tell me guys, does this look like a legit vivi nova?

I don't see the words "vivi nova" on my vision mini vivi novas. By real are you referring to the vision product?

Looks like my knockoff mini-vivi's, highly doubt its a true Vision product, but more importantly it works!

It definitely work! So I guess it really doesn't matter at this point if it's a real "vision" product or not but I was somewhat thrown back by 4 wicks. I always thought vision vivi nova only came with 2. Maybe I'm wrong but before I switched over to carto tanks I only seen 2 wicks on a vision vivi.

Oh well...it work like a charm:)

Looks like a Smok version Mini Vivi Nova to me. Sure way to tell is by the head inside. Does it have a little metal cone at the top? If so, it's a Smok. It's definitely a Mini, though.

Smok versions are also legit. They are just another maker of the Vivi Nova. Vision was the original, however, and are generally accepted as the "genuine".

I prefer the Vision brand when I use them. Both really are good and very similar in vape, but newer Visions use polypropelene tanks, while Smok still uses polycarbonate last I knew.

I can tell my genuines from my fakes by the placement of the air hole. One has the hole in the base, near the tank, and the other has the hole near the threading. Unfortunately, I don't remember which is which right now... I don't know if this is true with all fakes, but maybe someone else can chime in?? In the mean time, I'll go check mine and let you know which is which...

I see it like this... vision is a Chinese brand...smok is a Chinese brand....kanger is a Chinese brand.... almost all "knock offs" are Chinese. They all use purty much the same materials in the creation of their products. So it comes down to design. Some of my favourite tanks are "knock offs". But only after i clean them and put in a custom wick handtwisted by yours truley..... my 2cents.

Here is what the top of the head look like. Its a pointy air hole.

It's hard to tell from that pic but I think that is actually a Vision (real version) brand. If you look at the side by side comparison below the Vision brand head is on the left with the flat plastic head, and the Smok brand is on the right with the pointy metal top.

However, the Vision brand also includes a special "leak stopper" piece that looks like a little rubber cone. Usually this piece is not needed and is pushed deep into the included drip tip for "storage". Yours looks to me like the Vision version with the leak stopper removed from the drip tip and installed in it's useable position in top of the flat plastic on top of the head. The point of that leak stopper piece is to make a better seal between the top of the head and the top of the tank.

Now that I am at me computer I checked and vision website at Vision ViVi Nova Tank : Vision Electronic Cigarette, Original Manufacturers and after reviewing their product selection it appears that they make their tanks with both interior and exterior threading. I would like to think my tanks are vision but now I am not entirely sure. They might OEM their products out to others like totally wicked so they can sell more product out of their factory even if it isn't labeled as genuine Vision nova tanks. From what I can figure out the Mini Nova has the exterior threads and the larger 3.5ml Vivi Nova has interior threads. Unless the manufacturer consistently marks their products in some way that we all can differentiate theirs from all the rest it will continue to be a guessing game.
