Can you make a 9 volt system?

Is it possible to make a mod of some sort that would use the universally
available 9 volt batteries?

I'm not saying that the atomizer or cartomizer would have to be 9volts. One would have to use a voltage regulator to bring the volts down to around 5, of course. And wouldn't a system like this last more hours?

The cigarette-box-sized box could be carried with a belt clip, in a purse, or hand-held, and it could store the battery, wire, everything. Basically it would be like a portable passthrough, complete with its power source that could last a very long time.

One of the battery gurus posted in another post that 9 volt batteries don't last as long as the 3.7 does.

I looked up 9v batts. in wiki, and it seems that different kinds have different milliapms, ranging up to about 1,000.

The portable system I'm trying to envision would be about the size of a cigarette pack, so it's not even limited to one battery, or even one size of a battery.

Mostly, the importance is that the battery/batteries would be the ones sold in stores universally, without the need for exotic batteries not sold in stores everywhere, but it could be made to last longer between charges by the best possible battery combination. (I tried to look for such a post but haven't found it yet, too.)

This question has been answered a few times. The standard 9V battery holds less energy than a standard 1.5V C Cell. While it is possible to use a 9V battery, it doesn't provide the benefit of long life that you would expect. Because of that, mod efforts have focused on more useful batteries (3.x V lithium cells). The energy density in a lithium is much higher than in a standard (or alkaline) cell, and the 3.X voltage is beneficial for the atomizers as they are currently designed.

The rechargeable 9volts have almost twice the milliamps, if I remember.

But either way, given the space in a cigarette sized box, what if you go ahead and use the 3.x lithium exotics, but also use a standard 9v lithium?
The portable passthrough would run off of the 3.xlithiums

They could then be either in constant charge from the 9v beside them, or not in charge, but rather assisted in terms of their charge life?
