Yes that is true. The more air in the bottle the more the nic could oxidize, especially if you keep on opening and closing the bottle. Mix into larger bottles but try to have least amount of airspace. I'd be more worried about the cap rusting or not completely sealing and contaminating my mix more than oxidizing the nic. I'm not sure about flavor loss since I have juices that are many months old in partially filled jars but haven't noticed any loss in flavor but I vape 2 or 3 ingredient tobacco mixes so other flavors might be different.
