Can you simply change flavour with - Aerotank Mega

Hello All,

Doing very well on pretty much removing analogs from my life.

It helps that I took a huge risk and have a Provari-Kayfun; MVP-Nautilus; VTR-Aerotank Mega. Never thought I would have all 3 but I have made sacrifices and effort. Problems crop up and I'm still getting used to a Kayfun and having a flawless vape.

My problem is the Aerotank Mega right now

Now I love clean heads every time a tank finishes, I think why risk anything. The other day I just threw one away and put in a second - but 'somehow' the tank is empty so I dutifully rinsed the parts, only this time I didn't throw away the coil. One fresh coil a day is too juch even for me.

I was hoping it to be: 1 coil - 1 full tank - 1 week

I generally vape and have on me Virgin Vapors 100% VG

My question is can I put the same coil back in as this had lasted me just over a day?

I don't think I can dry burn the new Aerotank Mega coils?

I don't have vodka and basically was thinking put in very hot water then let air dry - then use a hair dryer - if this I acceptable - how many times can I do this and even then is it 'proper'?

And basically what should I realistically be expecting in terms of my coil heads?

What are you risking by re-using the same head other than possibly slightly tainting the next juice for a while? You'd be better off learning how to re-coil the heads and keep practising on the kayfun? If you're gonna change atomisers after every tank then your pockets gonna be empty sooner rather than later.

For one you wanna rinse your coils in cool water not hot and if your getting a burnt taste you should be able to re-wick your coilhead. Also, you should save your coilheads instead of throwing them out in case you decide to rebuild your coils. For the same price of a pack of coil heads you can buy a spool of kanthol which will last about at least a year

Save those heads! As mentioned above you can rebuild them with kanthal. Its a really good way to practice in tight quarters, if you can get good at building a coil head kayfuns and RDA's will be a breeze.

Also mentioned above, a simple rinse will get most of the flavor out of your coil head should you want to switch flavors. After the rinse just blow as much water out as you can by blowing on both ends of the coilpack, then attach to your device and give it a few quick dry burns until it isn't hissing and doesn't smell. This will allow you to not only switch flavors without tainting, but also extend the life of your coils significantly.

One more note, if switching flavors, I would also suggest doing as you did on this last round and giving the rest of the unit a good clean. You don't have to go crazy, I just flush mine with warm water and dry with a paper towel (the aerotank is a little tricky to dry the inside, I just sort of blow as much out as I can and "fling" the rest out with some arm action). No sense in getting the coil all ready to switch flavors and leaving remnants of an old flavor in the tank.

As far as what to expect from your coil head units, in terms of lifespan I assume... there are a lot of variables like how often you vape, what you are vaping, and the power you are sending to the coil (if regulated, which your units look to be). I vape pretty much around the clock and when I was using my aerotank a lot I would get about 2 weeks out of my coils, doing the rinse/dry burn thing after every tank that I switched flavors. If you are managing to get a whole week out of one tank I could see your coils lasting well over a month, as I was going through almost a tank a day.

Practice building on those heads for fun made my transition into higher RDA's and RBA's very smooth.

Did everything you say apply to - Aerotank Mega heads?? And also the Nautilus ones - as you probably know the design is a bit different and I have seen people talk about how it's not really easy to 'rebuild' them like previous ones
