I've been noticing that I can actually smell the nicotine in the ejuice vapour. If I smell the exhaled vapour, I notice that it smells exactly like those nicorette inhalers! Sometimes I taste it too, and because of that, there's a few juices I got that I cannot stand. yuck! lolol.

Does anyone else notice the smell or taste of nicotine?

It's not really a problem, just that I do notice it every now and then. Smells chemically.

It reminds me of the time I tried the nicorette inhaler just once and coughed my ... off which caused me to almost throw up. I was worried that vaping was going to be just like that, but it's not :)

First flavors I tried tasted either chemically, soapy, perfumey, or wet sweat-socky. But, I've heard there's some great stuff out there now! I'm an unflavored vaporer and couldn't be happier.

Food and drink tastes sooo awesome now, I try to keep my palate clean for them. Besides, I don't think I've tastebuds in my lungs.:)

Turpentine-like or bitter substance to me. You? Also peppery and responsible for a lot of the TH.

Yeah it's there. Can throw off some tastes but it is subtle.

So...I vape DIY lime. Or something not too....touchy/picky on the flavor mix with nic. Maybe that's why I'm not fond of vaping unflavored juice.

To me, the nic adds a slight peppery taste; but it's a taste I expect. The nic also proivides the throat hit, which is absent in non nicotine juice. The taste of nicotine is not something I notice a lot; as much as I notice when it isn't there, like when I'm making non nic test batches for DIY juice.

Yes! A chemical "peppery" smell/taste would most closely describe it. Sometimes it stings my sinuses a tiny bit too. (PS: I'm using 18mg/ml strength)

Good to know I'm not the only one.

Also makes me wonder if my grape was mixed wrong or it is just a terrible juice altogether. I can't even take the lightest puff without going into a coughing fit. I'm about to place an order for a bunch of organic juice from jugheads though :)

JSYK - Trying to diagnose a Flavor over the Internet using text can be somewhat Hard to Do.

Maybe it is the Nicotine. Maybe it is the Flavoring. Or maybe it is Cheap PG. Or it could be that the e-Liquid just needs to "Steep" for a week or so.

    Kinda hard to tell.

Could be a hardware problem too.

18 mg isn't exactly smooth, but it shouldn't be harsh either. Can be juice or hardware. Like zoiD said...shake well and steep.

I notice it in 18 mg juices. Smells like a nicoderm patch. LOL I taste it a little too at that level, but not enough to bother me. I don't notice it at 12 mg or lower.

Also, the only juice I ever used at 18 mg was briefly, and bought from a local shop. Maybe it's the nic they use and not the level so much?
