Ok this is odd. Starting about 2-3 months ago ( actually a bit weird because thats when i quit smoking and started vaping ) whenever i go to my mother in laws house my eyes water and itch so bad! I sneeze every 30 seconds, my nose begins to water but at the same time starts to stuff up and i weez a little bit ( i have asthma ) and i swear my lungs have almost a burning feeling.

I have NEVER had a allergy to anything or to her home, Ever! She does have 2 cats but i have friends who have cats also and i actually use to have a cat ( years ago )

I cannot for the life of me wonder why or how this just started? i have been over there 3 times in the past 2-3 months and everytime it happens. I try to take a allergy pill but it does nothing!

Anywhere else i am fine, everytime i use to go there, everything was great, just out of the blue it started and its only there!

I dont vape when i am there, I never had issues likes this when i vape or smoked, My asthma isnt that bad ( even better since i quit )

I just dont understand why this is?

I was there today and i must have sneezed 200 times in the 3 hours i was there and my eyes were swollen shut and my lungs felt almost like they were burning.

Any idea?

A lot of this has to do with age as well. The antibodies in your body do not replicate at the same rate and tend to go through a reduction as you get older. So, for the things that you have been allergic to for your whole life, they seem to escalate.. whereas, new allergic reactions may come on based on your contact with things through-out your life.
If the area you live in tends to be more humid than dry, this can be worse because the debris of stimulating allergens tend to be more effective in humid climates.

My $0.02 worth, take it for what it is worth.

Whats changed at her house? Furniture, rugs, cleaning products, air spray, her laundry soap, perfume, plants? Are you ok in her yard, but not in the house? Is the place dusty or have mold? Do you smell anything different?

Do you have symptoms when she comes to your house?

I have allergy's also and it's the pits. Good luck. It's a process of elimination.

Yea age has a lot to do with it. Also repeated exposure.

I used to clean parts (auto) in mineral spirits with no problem. Later my hands would crack and bleed. I was not old by any stretch. The repeated exposure appears to be the only thing that fits.

The pollen thing on the other hand would seem to be for me age or smoking screwing up the sinuses.

Are the cat’s ginger ?
I am far worse with ginger cats.
Any plants ?
Geranium’s can be terrible for people with allergies.

I have all sorts of allergies and life could be quite miserable until I found out how to find out what I was intolerant to.

It is called a muscle test. There are all sorts of ways to do it but as an example I use a bullworker.
Arm straight out to the side.
One end of bullworker on a chair and with arm extended push down.
Now hold the subject in your left hand making sure little finger is touching hold for count of 10 and push down, take measurement.

I found this system through N A E T
http://www.naet.co.uk/

And try the book NAET say good-bye to your allergies, as neat’s can cure as well as test.

All sounds totally crazy but after suffering for 40 years I found something that works :)

Both of my sisters have that allergy. I hope I never get it. I love shellfish.

They both got it when they were young. I'm now in my fifties and I still wonder if I'm going to have a reaction. Sorta takes the pleasure out of it.

I went from being able to love on shellfish to even touching it sends me to the hospital for a round of fun.
The last full blown shock incident I was minutes from getting a cut down.

Geranium’s are okay if its a plant in the ground, put them in hanging baskets and I get a full attack.

Funny you mentioned ginger cats. I've had cats for years and once in a while I'm mildly irritated. Never had a ginger, had a lite butterscotch and white.

There is one dog that makes me very, very sick, even the smell. You probably guessed, an Irish Setter. That's as ginger as you can get.I can't get within 3 feet of them. To bad as they are a nice beautiful animal.
