Yes you can.

Everyone has a tolerance to nicotine, as they do with alcohol. Some people can drink more than others.

Some people find vaping 20-something liquid is to strong for them. They get light headed and may have the hiccups. This is acute nicotine poisoning. Being acute and only causing minor discomfort as long as you discontinue use there is no problem. Much the same as acute alcohol poisoning, you can and will recover from it.

Where this gets dangerous is when juice is sold at a level unsafe for consumption, such as 100mg. In the wrong hand, that could have possibly deadly results. Much that same as handing a 60 of 200 proof to a teenage boy on prom night.

I too am new to being off the butts, just over a month for me and I too rarely have my PV out of my mouth. As everyone says its all about the Nic levels. I use 24 all day with no side effects but I was a very heavy smoker. Make sure if you are using Nic it's not too strong for you and that it comes from a good supplier! Beware of headaches, dizzyness and rapid hart beat these could be signs of an overdose.

Well said, Can Supplier!

I also think that, especially when we first start, our bodies are still craving that 'instant' kick from analogs. Maybe it's just me but I find that I have to vape pretty constant (especially first thing in the morning) to get pack that nic craving so I am thinking that we don't absorb nicotine as quickly with vaping as with cigarettes. But maybe that is just me! You didn't say what strength you are currently vaping. I am at 24 mg person myself and there is no way I could step that down just yet. But then again have only been back vaping for a month after falling off the wagon totally for a couple of years. Now that ecigs have come so far in design and performance, I am finding it MUCH easier to stick with it this time around.

So hang in there. As Can Supplier said, unless you start to develop some of the symptoms of nicotine poisoning, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Congrats on beginning the journey!

That is a great point there... I've been vaping long enough to have almost forgotten that. You are certainly not alone on that Fisher.

I think the only way you can get to a dangerous level of nicotine vaping is if you vape something like 48-100mg ejuice, which most vendors will not sell you.

At normal levels like 0-24mg, its highly unlikely you will want to continue vaping until it gets to a unsafe level. To its like coffee, once you start having to much of it you start feeling sick and won't take anymore.

I usually chain vape all day at 24-36mg and the only side effect that i noticed is dry mouth and this feeling u have in your throat in the morning when you smoked a little bit to much.

Since i started vaping 2 months ago its been like none stop. i just love to vape. But can you vape too much or is it just cause i am new to it and i am trying to replace the analogs. I have to also say i was a 20yr smoker and maybe that has something to do with it.
As you get past the 12 week mark (the avg length of time to rid the body of the other associated chemicals) you will develop a daily routine and pattern. Some say 1 toot = 1/10 of a drag from a ciggy who knows about that one.

In the beginning I vaped 3-5ml a day of 24mg that = 72 to 120mg a day, the avg cig contained 2mg - so a pack = 50mg.

Of course we don't really know the absorption into the body of each. I have since cut down to 8mg for a total of between 32 to 48mg a day. I was a PAD smoker. Even now at these low levels I know when I have been over stimulated. BTW the effects of a vape session don't really manifest themselves until 10-15 minutes after the session.

So, here I am, just past 5:30a.m, Omega in hand, vaping at approximately 9mg. I started vaping in July 2010 at 11mg and have never felt the need to go higher than that. I've tried 18 and 24mg nic juice at vape meets, and they give me a "buzz". Don't like that "buzzed" feeling one bit. I believe most vapers I know hover around the 18mg mark and vape all day. Find your sweet spot and stick to it. As long as it keeps you away from analogs, you're doing good. Best of luck!

All the above is good advice! Just wanted to add my experience. I started vaping at 18mg 9 months ago. And as with a lot of vapers, my PV is my constant companion. About 6 months into vaping I started to notice after especially heavy vaping days I'd start feeling a bit nauseous. 'I'm getting too much nic" I say to myself  :D. I mix my own eliquid, so I went from 18mg to 12mg and have been vaping the same way as before; but with less nic intake.

Your body will let you know if you are "vaping too much"

I usually have 2 PVs going, one with ~18mg nic ( i have 1 24mg carto for my morning hit) and one 0 nic (mostly DIY) i puff away as long as i want on the zero nic without thought or worry. When i have a craving, i pick up my nic PV, take a couple of drags, which usually kills the craving, and back to zero nic. Vaping this way, i usually go through ~ 1ML of nic liquid, and 2ML of zero nic a day. I was a 1/2 PAD for ~15yrs.

Nic coma.... I get one at every meet from vaping all night long. Usually start feeling like when I was 12 and had my first cigarette.

Haha ... I remember that! Being 12 yrs old that is, and experiencing my first nicotine coma after learning to inhale, and deciding to practice my technique with a full pack of Salem menthols  ... ahhhhhh, those were the days
