I seem to have misplaced my spool of kanthal wire. Does anyone know a canadian vendor that sells it? I know a few sell precut pieces, but I want to buy a small spool of it, and would rather not wait for it to ship from china.

You want kanthal A1 though...not D...the diff is 100C more resistant to heat on the A1 than the D but you never know...more resistant to hot spots? 
FYI also...Kanthal is a wire and nichrome is 2-3 twisted wires...I prefer to go with kanthal.
