I haven't seen that post, but I'm pretty sure candy flavors are no worse for you than any other flavored juice.

It is always possible they might find out in the future that some ingredients we are vaping now aren't safe, but compared to the tar and 4000 chemicals in an analog I don't think a candy flavoring seems all that risky.

So far the only flavoring ingredient they know we should avoid inhaling is diacetyl, but I've checked on all the flavorings I've bought and none of them have diacetyl in them.

I knew this would happen when I asked this question! Best response I've gotten. I know that none of the juice is actually good for you, but someone was saying that the candy ones are worse.....they never gave a reason why. I just thought I'd ask and see of anyone else heard something like this.:)

Okay, so I did some more research and the only info I could find about a candy ejuice flavor being 'bad' was that it might be bad for the atomizer or battery of the e-cig.

Some candy flavors may have sugars in them that may build up on the atomizer. Aside from buildup on the atomizer, a candy flavor could also be bad for your e-cig atomizer/battery if it is made from an oil based flavoring. Candy oils are not actually oils...they're just a very concentrated form of flavoring, but they do resist heat more than water based flavors. Oil based flavors require higher heat to vaporize so they are more of a drain on the battery power during use and may damage the atomizer from excessive use/overheating.

Vegetable oil is not an ingredient found in any premade ejuice flavor I am aware of; the only incidents of vegetable oil in any ejuice I could find were all in DIY juices. Some people are worried about vegetable oil based flavors, as there is some concern that continuous vaping of vegetable oil based flavors could lead to the vaper exhibiting some of the symptoms of liquid pneumonia. Vegetable oil is not known to actually cause that type of pneumonia, just some symptoms, and it has been used medically (in the 70's) to help prevent the absorption of toxins in the lungs. And, again, it isn't even a general concern because it is not used in any of the premixed flavored ejuice or in the candy 'oils' most DIY's buy to make their own...those are all PG, VG, or alcohol based.

That was about all I could find on the subject, and I can't guarantee the accuracy of the info. :)

I have had some issues with cinnamon and peppermint oils reacting with plastic tanks....made the clear ones milk colored...other than that...if you get these flavors on your hands..be it filling or leaking from a tank...wash YOUR HANDS before you go to the bathroom..or touch that special someone in your life....your just going to have to trust me on this one....but washing your little buddy in the office sink is not generally appreciated by your co-workers...and in my case I found a few drops of cinnamon oil on my hands made the wife very hot but not in a way I enjoyed...she did use some interesting words.

Other than that I cant see how candy flavors would be worse or better for us....sure cant be as bad as sticking real smokes in our lungs...

Hope your not DIYing with Cinnamon or Peppermint oil! Those really are bad for you to Vape the ones used in juice are made with a PG base verses a oil base.

That's the whole point of this thread...how would the cinnamon or peppermint oil be 'bad' for you? I really don't understand. Is there some sort of research or something?

Cinnamon and peppermint oils are just very highly concentrated forms of the extracted flavoring from the plant (extracted with steam), and they would have to be diluted for vaping, but they are the 'natural flavor' part of the flavoring oils we are already buying in the PG base.

So it seems to me like all they'd have to do is dilute the pure cinnamon oil in a PG or VG base before use, so it wouldn't irritate their skin or lungs.

When I was a kid we used to soak toothpicks in pure cinnamon oil for a week or two and then chew on them (and breath the fumes)...they were way better than the premade cinnamon toothpicks, but they would irritate your skin if they sat on it for too long...but won't pretty much any chemical irritate your skin in a concentrated form?

"someone" said this? And they said it where? We all know you can't lie on the Internet.
I read it on one of the forums here. I don't remember where. I never said it was the truth, I was simply asking a question hoping to get more information as the post I read was very vague. I vape a lot of candy juice so I thought I would try to find out more. So far in my research I've turned up nothing.
