Hello all..

Looking to stop my 20-30 rollups per day habit and I am thinking about buying one of these kits...

Echo-e 1300 Carry Kit £42.99 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - Echo 1300 Carry Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

Joyetech eGo-C 1000mah £57.99 - Deluxe Vaping Kits - eGo-C 1000mah Kit Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

I want something that lasts all day and is easy to use... I also need to use it in the car so it must be a simple.

I take it both kits have everything I need apart from some e-liquids...

I have been reading on the forum and just need a little help between them.

Thank you

They both look like good kits, but I couldn't find what threading the Echo was. A 510 threading, like the eGo is very versatile and easy to swap parts with. I'd say go for the eGo, you really can't go wrong with that PV :) welcome to the forum.

Never mind, their both 510 :) I'm still more comfortable with the eGo out of familiarity though......

The 1st kit you listed has 1300mAh batteries ( 100mAh=1 hours of use roughly) & 2.3ml capacity for e-liquid. One should last all day. I can't speak for the quality of the kits as i have never used them. Hopefully someone here has and can tell you more. Welcome to the ECF. Are you really going to stay as "guest"? Hope not.

Definitely the Echo as it isn't regulated down to a low voltage like the ego. Also, the tank system, although great in theory, just upsets most users who try it with it's leaking and bad hits. I personally would suggest getting the Echo and picking up some Vision Clearomizers:

Vision Ego Rainbow 2.1-2.4 Low Resistance £4.75 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid

A much, much better option than the low under performing voltage of the ego-c combined with the fiddly, leaky tank system.

Get the eGo-C. Contrary to what other posters may presume, "most users who try it" do not end up with leaking issues and "bad hits". Search the forum and you'll find tons of people extremely happy with their eGo-Cs.

The 1000mah batteries included are a plus too. One will probably be enough to get you through a full day, two definitely will.

I'm recommending the eGo-C specifically for its tank system which has no filler material and delivers a very clean hit with excellent taste. If you want a killer battery, grab an adjustable voltage (VV) mod like the ProVari or Lavatube.

That's cool man, I disagree with you strongly, have never had anything but horrible experiences with them. The local brick and mortar store here warns people before they buy them that they are non-returnable due to all the complaints and issues with them. I know that some people have no problems with them, but a simple google search of "ego-c leaking" really tells you quite a bit. Now, I've seen your thread asking why people don't like them, and maybe some of the dislike is people parroting what they've heard, but I'm not presuming a darn thing and kind of resent your implication that that's all it is. I would agree that when they are working they deliver a clean hit and good taste, but I stand by my statement that the Vision Clearomizers (aka Stardust) are a far superior solution.

Thank you all...

Not sure if I am any closer to making a choice between the two kits  but some useful info.

Theres a cost difference between the two so that might be the decider...

trying to work out if this is a complete kit.. http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/echo-e-1300-carry-kit~264

so all i need is the liquid and vision clearomizers..?

All you actually need is liquid with that kit, I suggested getting some vision clearomizers because I like them better than cartomizers, which are what comes with it, but the cartomizers are perfectly usable. The vision clearomizers just give really great flavor, you can see how much juice you have in them, they are super easy to fill, and they seal really well and don't leak. Cartomizers take longer to fill, unless you want to use syringes to fill them, you can't see when they are running low on liquid, and if they run low the filler will burn making them taste too awful to use anymore. However, a great many people on these forums love cartomizers, and you may as well, so definitely give them a try. Heck, give the Ego-C a try if you really want to, there are some people who are insanely happy with them and never have any issues.

Unless you're privy to some extraordinary facts that I'm not aware of, stating that it "just upsets most users who try it with it's leaking and bad hits" is, by definition, a presumption. I understand there are a lot of anecdotes out there, but (with respect to technical issues) many are accompanied with explanation and resolutions. It's a very popular model - if most leaked, it would my presumption that they wouldn't be as popular or recommended as they are.

Look, I take no issue with you disagreeing with me. I like the Vision Clearomizer too. My only issue is with the word 'most' - I think it gives the OP unfair (and untrue) advice. If you'd like to discuss this further, feel free to PM me- it's not my intent to hijack this thread.

OP:

Sorry to side track! Honestly, I think either one of these devices will suit you well to quit smoking. Both will allow you to attach 510 atomizers, cartomizers, tanked cartomizers, and clearomizers. The eGo will also work with its proprietary tank system, and the Echo-e very well might too- something you could always purchase later if you wanted to give it a try. Both are simple to use and can easily be used in your car.

Whatever you choose, I wish you the best of luck!

I know that I am only 6 weeks into vaping, but after making the same mistake as most newbies when I bought a couple of mickey mouse cig look alikes I bought the Riva 1100 kit from vape escape and can tell you that I am over the moon with my choice, and the fully charged batteries last forever.A really great purchase for the price.

I'd take the E-go over the Echo, but I'd take cartos (or pretty much any other style of juice delivery) over the tank system. In my experience, the draw is hard, and the flavor is extremely muted. Sometimes you get a plastic taste. Cartos, clearos, tube tanks, all good. Tankos, nay nay.

Also, get a drip tip set up for when you're at home, pretty dang cheap, and the vapor production and flavor is second to none.

A big thank you to all who responded...for all your advice.

I ended up getting the Riva 1100 kit and 3 10ml full strength bottles... should be here by Monday.

With the cost of cigarettes going up each year it will be interesting to see if there is any cost saving (I smoke rollups) current costs per week are about £17-20, as I have know idea how much liquid you will go though in the same time.... + all the other bits required every month or two....

Also hoping that this does allow me to kick the cigarettes with out turning into the devil
