Cannot leave feedback???

I purchased this item from a very nice lady, and I promised to leave her feedback. The system will not let me?

Post a reply to the thread and it should then let you.

If the thread is closed, you can't post in it. You can PM her though.

You should have posted something in the thread, someting like "pm sent". Since the thread is closed you're sol.

It should be re-opened I think so I can post on it, it was closed far to quickly. People that work for a living can't lurk here all day watching threads. Also the lady is very nice and deserves good feedback.

This is a serious flaw in the system here. If you buy something on the classified you should be able to leave feedback for another member. This can work in reverse too. If you get ripped off and the thread is closed, you can't leave negative feedback, which means members here could cannot be warned of trouble with a seller.

On the flip side, if you can take the time to send a PM for the deal, what's an extra 2-3 seconds to post a response in the thread?

No. Only a moderator (if their permission level is high enough) or an admin can re-open a closed thread. PM's are just a private message to the recipient.

The seller can ask that the topic be reopened in order for you to post a quick PM, but that means that people will still think it's for sale.

I can't imagine that one feedback is going to make or break a person here.

No. You must post in the actual sale thread in order to unlock the feedback option for that sale.

FYI, in this case, the member did as the rules stated, which is to close your own ad once the item(s) is sold.

Keep in mind that she's the one that closed the thread (too quickly in your opinion).

When I sell something to someone and they haven't posted in the thread, I send them a PM asking them to post before I close it.
