Can't fit a kick?

I have plenty of experience with vv/vw mods but I just got my first mech, the Astro from fasttech. There are posts in FT's discussion board saying the FT kick will fit in the Astro but mine is seemingly too big? The ground pin is sticking out too much and it won't fit in the tube. Am I making a noobish mistake or is there something I can do to make the kick fit?

I have a kicked astro (it's wonderful, BTW).

From your mention of "the" ground pin, I'm assuming you have a kick V1 (V2 has two pins). What you need to do is use your thumbnail to push the pin in (it's springy) as you slide it in from the top of the mod. Go slow, do not try to edge it in.

It's a bit disconcerting the first time you try to install these little beauties, but once it sets in right, you'll know how to get it in anything.

Lol thanks so much for the info and not calling me an idiot, because I feel like one. The pin does indeed push in easily. This thing looks so delicate I was afraid to touch it at first =P

I have a steamboy on top of my astro - it looks very steampunk and I can it my "Jules Verne". The button on these things is just top notch - the best of all my mechs, truth be told - and yeah, in 350 mode with a kick (size of 'native' 500 mode) it feels great in the hand.

LOL - I have a Nemesis the Kicks refuse to fit. I know it isn't/wasn't the kick as I took it out of another Nemesis.
This is my 5th, but first HCigar Nemesis(and likely last)
I took a piece of 320 grit sandpaper and worked around the kick to true it up a bit and slightly down size it.
Works like a Champ in there now.

I have 6 kicks - 4 are FT models and all do an excellent job of regulating the vape.
