Hi, I just recieved my first e-cig, the revolver elite. The problem is I can't get any vapor off of the cartridges and I don't know why. I dipped the atomizer bridge and it vaped great, so I know it's not that. I've tried two cartridges now and I'm just not getting anything, any suggestions? do I just need to break in the atomizer?

Not sure you did the same thing as me, but... just in case.

You'll want to use freshly opened carts and not the blanks that come pre-installed on the cig and extra atomizer.

I took a toke on a blank before checking the installed cart.

I jsut received mine in the mail and the PCC will not charge up and now they will not return my calls or emails. Anyone else have this problem?

I just got mine too.

At first I thought you had just made a noob mistake (we were all noobs at one time or another!)

I put mine together and it will not wick a single drop out of the cartridge. Not one. Drip and use the blank cart.. it's a fog machine. Put on a filled cart and nothing.

I'm thinking the bridge isn't even touching the filler in the cart. Perhaps a low bridge with a cart designed for a high one? Tried both attys...same story.

Spent some more time working with it. It looked like there actually wasn't enough filler in the cartridge. I took a little wad of poly and put it under the existing filler... so now the original filler muffin-tops out of the cartridge a little bit.

Now it is fogging like a cannon! Don't know if my "fix" did anything.. or if the atty just needed a long time to prime. But I do know.. despite my best efforts.. I haven't been able to flood this thing yet!

it doesn't actually contain a wick. The guys at Revolver were unable to explain exactly why to me, as it was not originally manufactured by them. However, I have found GREAT success just dripping. I use this e-cig the most. It took some time to learn how to do everything properly, but now I absolutely ADORE it. try dripping :)

Correct... the Revolver doesn't have a coil wick like the 510. But then again, I think the 510 is the only atty that actually does have this wick.

I've got all of my Revolver cartridges working quite well now. They all have PTB in them.... and it turns out that I had one good atty and one bad atty.... but with the good atty it's a fog machine. The bad atty won't wick (verb.. not noun) liquid out of a cart. It only works when you are dripping or dipping.

As I mentioned, I vape on the thing everyday now. All carts are filled with PTB (although I will probably try a spring-mod in the near future) and it puts out amazing vapor and excellent hit.

Right now I'm trying to decide if I'll buy a backup kit.. or wait a week or two and see what the whole "Mystic" hoopla is about...

are you doing the rho PTB mod and trimming it down to size? because that just doesn't work well for me. should i not trim it?

also, i've tried the spring mod on my 510, and this may just be me, but the PTB hits much better. havent tried it on the elite.

im pretty curious about the mystic too! can't wait til they unveil it!

Here's what I do for the Elite and the PTB. I completely un-do a PTB bag. Then I cut it in half.. down the length (long ways).

Take one half and cut about 3/4" of an inch off of it (make it 3/4" shorter).

Roll that up. Make 4-6 lengthwise cuts down the tube... in order to "fray" the end. I don't cut all the way down... about 2/3 of the way.

Stick that in the cart cup.. uncut end first. Make sure it goes all the way into the cup.

Cut off the "frays" that stick out of the top of the cart.

Done.

after re-trying the fluval and the PTB i'm still going to stick with dripping....maybe i got spoiled. but neither of them seem to last much longer than dripping (for me anyways) and they cut the taste down a bit. Perhaps i'm just stuffing them wrong, but i'm keeping it simple and dripping. i think a wick like the JOYEs have would help a lot. i'm seriously thinking about frankensteining that when i have some time :) i mean, i know how easy it is to get spoiled on the dripping though, and i may just grab an e-dobit and be happy!

@Mainer: Does the light on the battery activate, but you don't get any juice to vaporize? When I got mine I thought one of the batteries was bad, but all I needed was a paperclip, and 2 seconds. One solution to a brand new battery that lights but doesn't vape= There is a little silicone gasket that holds the contact terminal into the battery. Pop that out, and replace it, then screw the atty back on. Poof, fog-city! I can't wait until they put out that damn lemon-lime juice.... I want to fill the house with lemon lime vapor! lol

@neightwatts: Its very easy to smoke an Elite. It has automatic batteries so you just puff on it, and it vapes like a charm. There is slight resistance, so if you vape gently it won't make you choke. However, if you want big clouds/hits, this thing WILL make some very large clouds of vapor. Its small, like a real cigarette, but the atomizer is AWESOME. I've been using mine for about two weeks, and I hardly pick up my 510.
