Can't get my GLV2 to work with 510 cartos

any tips guys?

I am using the same ones as grimm in his video but i can't get ANY 510 cartos to fire in mine. Attys work great, and this minor thing is really taking away from the device for me. My whole reason for getting this device was to have in my pocket for work and use cartos.

I have heard some good options but i would like to hear which is best before i try or buy anything.

options-

1. Put a tiny piece of a paperclip down in the whole to make the connection for cartos (sounds dangerous but kinda makes sense)

2. Add to the solder at the bottom so that it rises up and touches the carto (sounds like i could mess up the existing solder if not careful)

3. buy a 510/901 connector and use 808 cartos (last resort because i don't want to spend another 20 bucks)

4.pull the connection out further on the carto (couldn't figure that one out)

5. shut up and use a different device ( no. i invested hard earned money in this and I wanna get it the way i want it)

I emailed jay and hopefully he can get back to me soon, I might call him if I can't get this figured out as well, but I wanted to see if anyone else has been having this problem.

I'm holding off my video review until I figure this problem out because I don't want to sound like i'm bashing this great device.

Sounds like the center post is not making a good connection or connection at all..

You can use an adapter as you stated/

The center post in the atty connector can be moved up a little if you can get a hold of it with tweezers or something.

broke the 1st carto i tried it on, but the second one worked like a charm! Kind of a ..... though.

if anyone has any remedies to the DEVICE though that would be appreciated as well so that I don't have to perform microsurgery on every carto i get.

Call up Jay. I know it sucks to be without the GLV, but I bet he could tweak it for you.

The Problem is that I set the pin for/with and atomizer and some cartos are just a bit shorter then attys...we are talking 1000s of an inch, but enough to not make contact. Its an easy fix if you want to send it back real quick.

Nope I have it noted. thanks for letting me know, ..it may have saved us some hassle later on . I should let people know that it only happens every so often..its not an issue in most cases.

are you sure about that? Last I was aware they dealt strictly in KR808D-1 cartos.

This is one thing that is frustrating with this. Some carto's work with this PV, this one doesn't, go 3.7v, 5.0v, 6.0v, this juice tastes good, this one doesn't, this battery works longer, direct drip is better, boil this way, don't boil this way... So much easier to just pick up a cigarette, use my Bic and smoke it.

Get the high performance cartos from either nhaler or cloudsofvapor. I havent had a problem since I got these. They fire everytime. The reg 510 cartos dont work for me half the time either.

V4L has 3 types of cartos but they are all KR808d-1's.
If you can't return them ( and they aren't pre-filled ) PM me and we can work out a trade.

I discovered something recently while filling cartos for my new hello 016. It appears as if there are 2 kinds of 510 cartos and maybe attys. One carto fit great and the other wouldn't make a connection. It turns out that one had silver threads and one had gold. The silver one fit but not the gold. The atty I tried also fit. I am now asking suppliers if they carry the silver or gold thread before I buy. They may be different but I am going to try to remember where I buy the ones that work so I can stop wasting my money. Hope this helps.

Wish I could... Both seem to be on B/O...

Anyplace else? I have read there are adapaters available. Anybody have thoughts on those until I can get 510 cartos?

I believe the 510 cartos with the silver connector are from Boge. I get mine from Vapor Kings. Note, they do carry both kinds, silver and gold, so be sure to get the silver. I have those and so far they work great on my GLV.

I did just get the GLV Saturday, so only used a couple of cartos, but so far, so good.

GLV2 5v is working great....kicking ....!!

Yes the silver are boge. I just got some from litecig. I think there is a coupon if I am not mistaken.

Appreciate it. Placed my order. Wish they had color choices but will figure something out.

OTOH, V4L shipped my other order today for cartos even tho I emailed them over the weekend not to. That was disappointing. Now I have like 8 5 packs of cartos that won't work.
