Can't get my STM and Naut Mini to sit right on Provari 2.5

I want to get a Provari Mini 2.5. I don't vape above 15w (except on rare occasion at home). In my 3 months vaping, I have come to settle on two tanks for 90% of my needs. They are the Nautilus Mini and Kanger Subtank Mini. I use each daily. The problem I have run into is that neither of these tanks sit flush with the 2 Provaris I have tested in stores (2.5 Dragon and a 2.5 Mini Zombie). More specifically, they do not screw down all the way. There is about 1mm gap between the Provari and the tank. From what little I have picked up from internet and from store owners, it is that the trend in 510 pins has moved towards longer pins and that the 2.5 was designed before this trend and was designed to allow airflow to the bottom air holes in older designs of tanks.
So… My question(s):
Is there a better solution to get rid of that gap other than finding a 19mm washer for my Naut Mini (I could use the beauty ring for the 22mm SubTank Mini, even though I kind of like the look of the tapered top under a 22mm tank).
Has the design changed to allow longer pins? Deeper female 510 or longer throw on the spring under the 510?
Is there a tank or tanks that is/are as easy, reliable and tasty as these two tanks that a competent newbie could carry with confidence? I would want some ability to rebuild (penchant for coil fouling NET juice). I would also like a replaceable coil option for morning when I should rewick or rebuild, but I'm already running late.
I also tried a P3,which had the bonus of twisting the outer portion of the ring to snug up against the tank, providing more stability, but I like the looks of the 2.5 (as well as the price), so I would love to make it work. I just don't feel comfortable with the tank hovering above the Provari. Seems like an invitation to snapping / bending the 510 connection on tanks.

All this advice is driving me crazy...
:lol::-x
There are options to close the gap that bugs me... And if I don't, I probably don't have much to worry about, so the 2.5 is a good option.

The classic has a floating pin that takes care of my little pet peeve altogether...

And there is a 10% coupon that makes that P3 Celtic knot even MORE tempting?

Decisions, Decisions... What a nice problem to have. Thanks, y'all.

Pulled the trigger on the 2.5 gunmetal zenkote with a green display. Next year, if I feel the need, I can get a P3. I don't think I'll get the chance at a new provari for under a c-note any time in the future, though. (Okay, a couple more dollars with the extension cap, but close.).

Thanks for the tips and reassurances.
