can't get to next page

i know alex has been trying to get all the kinks out of the system but i'm not sure that he is aware of this one:
when there is only one post on a new page you cannot get to that page. this is especially annoying in the pif thread. members have to post some nonsense just to be able to get to the next page. once there is a second post everything is fine.

It happened to me and what I did was went to page 3 first then back to 2 and it cleared up and worked fine after that.

Yup, happened to me, three times. Rather annoying, I had to post just to open the page. Waste of time and space, especially since we cannot delete the dummy post, only edit it.

Sometimes you can't go to the last page in a thread. For me, it acts like it's going, but then ends up back on the 2nd to last page. Someone determined that it happens when there is only 1 post on the last page. Once there is a second post, the problem dissapears.

For me, this is a recent phenomenon (several days).

I can't open the last page if there is only one post on it. The page counter shows that there is another page, for instance, 79, but I'm stuck on 78 and can't to page 79, no matter how hard I click on number 79. If I type a new post, my new post appears on page 79, just underneath the sole post that was on page 79. Does that make sense?

Just FYI. On the PIF thread, Thyestean says that it hasn't happened for him since having set it to show 40 posts per page. I haven't tried this yet.

It’s happened to me---several times, but I thought maybe it was on this end.
Like not all my keystrokes registering which is why I type ALL things on Word and the Copy and Paste.
