Hey everyone,

I'm pretty new to e-cigs still, as I've only been vaping for about a week or so. Anyways, my question is has anyone ever had a really good nicotine high from a certain juice or brand? I've ordered juices from cignot and Johnson creek all in the highest nicotine content, and while the urge to smoke analogs is gone, it seems my nicotine high is too. Any advice or referrals to help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

One of the first things to remember is that most of the buzz we got from smoking came from a combination of chemicals and carbon monoxide. Nicotine is actually a stimulant and if you start feeling buzzed with vaping, it usually indicates that you need to slow down or lower your nic levels.

If you are not craving cigarettes, then the vaping is working for you. If you are concerned that the level you choose to use is too high, then I would suggest ordering some lower nic juice and see if it works for you also. Just use the lowest amount you need to make yourself comfortable; no more, no less.

^This. Why do people want a buzz anyway? I don't want to feel light headed. If I feel dizzy when vaping, I know something's wrong. Nicotine only creates a buzz in people who have no tolerance, like the person who may smoke one analog a year or a cigar once and awhile or go to the hookah bar once every six months.

Some will surely disagree with me, but as far as the buzz we got from smokes....no. Nicotine by itself is a stimulant in small doses and a sedative in large ones. The familiar buzz comes from alkaloids in the tobacco, which eliquid doesn't have. No reason it shouldn't, since it has nothing to do with purity, but that's just the way they make it (no matter who the vendor is). Unless you have a savvy chemist make some that still includes the alkaloids, the only other way to get that calming focus factor is by using a safe smokeless alternative like Swedish snus :).

For some folks who lean toward depression it's fairly important. Btw, after 31 years of smoking I still got a buzz with the first smoke of the day or anytime I went much longer than normal without one.

I love my nic buzz. After a year's worth of vaping, I can say that you'll probably never get the first-smoke-of-the-day-buzz ever again. You can get a decent buzz from 24mg juice (I never needed to go higher and I was a 2 P.a.D smoker) and by vaping less. See, vapers tend to puff all day long. When you smoked, you probably went an hour or more between smoke breaks. During that time, the nic was getting filtered out and you'd replenish it with a big dose. Also, there are tons of chemicals in analogs but only nic in our juice. I'm sure some of the other 4,000 things in your old cig contributed to your buzz.

Trouble2k pointed out that a lot of the "buzz" from cigarettes is the combination of chemicals and inhaling carbon monoxide. This is very true, but the nicotine delivery in vaping and smoking are also very different. Another reason you aren't going to find the "buzz" from vaping is because the nicotine delivery is slower and smoother than with cigarettes. Nicotine delivery with cigarettes is almost instantaneous, hence the other part of that rush. Sure, you can up the nicotine level, but like Etch pointed out it won't last so why bother? All you'll end up doing is getting a massive headache from too much nicotine. It was the same thing with cigarettes.

I have been vaping for about a year and nicotine buzz is not very common for me. I can tell you when I took my first couple drags off a cisco lr 306 with 24mg juice I actually had to pt my pv down for a couple minutes lol.

I normally chain vape 24mg with mods and the 306 was on an eGo ... pretty crazy lol

I didn't get a head rush/buzz whatever you want to call it from analogs unless I took really long drags and expanded my lungs fully after the drag. The sensation I get from vaping is more a body tingle, and its very subtle. I think you may be expecting more out of your nic juice than you should, and if you want to "get high" then you may be barking up the wrong tree. Be grateful you aren't smoking analogs anymore, the "high" you should be getting is that of being more powerful than some stinking cigarette! Keep the faith!

I read somewhere in my travels that they add ammonia to tobacco cigs so that when you smoke, the nicotine travels to your brain fast, like freebasing. Vaping delivers nicotine through absorption and does not deliver it directly and immediately to your brain. At least this was my understanding from what I have read.

I don't get a buzz like smoking a cig first thing in the morning but I do tell that I am getting nicotine from vaping because if it's been several hours, I get that craving sensation and vaping cures it within a few minutes. It's not a fast head rush, though.
