So although some people here have said they are bad for the e-cig business, they have their place. If for no other reason then to introduce people to the world of PV's as right now its quite a niche market that most people, smokers included, have never even heard of. And the more people know about vaping the better.

I have to agree here. These guys are out there all day, every day introducing people to the product. If nothing else, maybe it will make someone say "Oh that's just one of the e-cig things they sell at the mall" when they see us vaping indoors.

Out of curiosity, I took another look at the business plan I did back when I was planning to open a mall kiosk to sell my own products.
I adjusted the cost-of-goods-sold to reflect a model of selling goods at 4 times my cost (which is a lot less than what the mall kiosks now are selling at) and made a few other changes to reflect the e-cig business.
It appears that start-up cost would be right at $10,000.00 and with realistic promotional & advertising expenses factored in, one could conservatively expect to net right at $5,000.00 a month in profits. That's $60,000.00 a year. Not too bad for these parts.
If anyone would like to check my figures, I can provide them.
My whole point is, I think the mall kiosks would do much better financially if they would lower their profit margins and sell higher quality goods.

The other thing you gotta think about is that you also have to pay shipping and then wait a few days before you get it. They are good stater kits (Green Nicotine in Tucson) but you can tell people about buying liquid elsewhere. It well eventually pay off. If someone does want to fork over that money, then so be it. If you want to maybe look around for cheaper products then do that. I don't know of anyone that sees something brand new at a store and immediately buys it. Most people will go online and look around. Also these kiosks let people try the e cig for the first time without having to buy it.

My $.02
