Hello All,
I guess this question would be directed to a Moderator in these forums....I just tried to start a new thread in the General Section and when I hit the "New Post" button a page comes u saying I do not have access or permissions blah...blah...! I had no problem posting a week ago or so! Can someone let me know what happened....If I did something wrong which caused me to get my account privalges suspended, I would kinda like to know what that might have been!
Thanks,
Mike

Hmm, ok so why did my thread in ask the experts last week go through...I guess that is another forum that you can do it in...Ok thanks I guess I will have to post a dozen or so more times on something I know very little to nothing about...lol!
Thanks again for the reply,
Mike

Yep, ask the experts were set-up so a newbie can ask a question. If you want I think its OK to go to the sandbox and experiment.

I should clarify - this has only happened today, and happens to threads I've already posted in. When I click the reply button I'm redirected to a screen that says:

Code:
dinium, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

   1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
   2. If you are a new member with less than 10 posts, you can not post new threads anywhere except for the New Members Forum. Please see this thread for details.
   3. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I'd start a new thread about his, but naturally can't due to post count.

Hi dinium,

Shoot me a PM with which forum you are trying to reply to a post in. I'll get you squared away.

- Angus

One consideration is that you can't post anything in a "Social Group" thread that you're not a member of. Just in case that may be happening.

EDIT: Sorry, didn't see that 2nd page of posts, this has been covered. Editing this one so I don't feel I wasted a bunch of time posting it. So now that I've added the fact that I edited an otherwise extremely relevant post (hi-5 me somebody), I'll go back to not posting unless I deem it totally irrelevant. Cheers and carry on..........

There are certain areas of the forum, where only members of a specific group can post comments, or start threads, this would be in the "Social Groups" section.

The area I'm having problems is the Australian section. However, as I've been able to previously post there, this is a little weird. The issue is happening mid-conversation to threads that I've been posting to (at least until yesterday).

"Remember me" When I checked the box, all of my problems went away.

I have that checked (I'm lazy with passwords!) :)

Thanks Angus!

Also the "Ask the Experts" section is restricted to certain members only and some threads have been "Closed", to further comments.

So, is this where the experts ask questions? I'm not really an expert on much so I guess I can't ask anything there. Unless the un-experts are supposed to answer. If that's the case I think I have one. But how are they experts if they have to ask? And do they know they're experts intuitively, or did they find out when they weren't able to answer another expert? I haven't tried posting there, so I can't really say I'm not an expert for sure. But then, if it turns out I am an expert I guess that's all I really care to know, so I guess there's no need to post. Thanks for clearing that up, Jerry :).
