Did the same thing when I started. Still do sometimes. But now, not nearly as much. Like Defdock said, the nicotine intake is less with vaping and your body is craving it faster than vaping can deliver. You may try to up your nicotine level a bit for a few weeks. But be careful and wind down in the evenings. Too much at high nicotine before bedtime will mean some sleepless nights. It took me a few weeks to get to a point where I wasn't waking up every 90 minutes.

You could always up your nic level if it's not doing it for you. Maybe you started too low :)

I figure, no point in burning through 6 ml in a day vaping constantly at 12mg/ml when you could do 2ml in a day at 18ml for example. Or you could just wait to get used to the lower nic level as suggested above.

Either way, nothing to be concerned about unless you start feeling sick, nauseous or shaky - then you know you've vaped too much nic and it's time to put it down for an hour or so until you're feeling better.

Congrats on quitting!

Gotta agree with the Mop here. I used dipping snuff before vaping and smoked for 35years before that. I started out @ 18mg with a mouth to lung hitting device. Once I moved up to the sub ohm tanks I had to....and I mean had to....lower the nic levels. If I honked on a delta II with 18mg I'd throw up....and that has happened when I made a mistake and thought I had 6mg in the tank and had loaded it with 18mg. Awful feeling that nic overdose.

Anyways, its new and relatively harmless compared to smokes. So, puff away! You'll slow down in good time. Enjoy

I was a cig chain smoker (mostly at night) until I hit 2 packs a day and decided enough was enough. Been vaping for about 5 months now and always have my device right at my mouth lol. No worries but make sure you're knocking down your nicotine (if quitting is your goal). I went from 18mg, to 12mg and now at 6mg..and started with an MVP 2.0 to an iStick 30w. If it makes you happy, no problem. Just watch your nic levels so you don't get ill.

Don't worry about it, Matt. Nearly all of us went through the same thing. Since you've got three weeks under your belt, you will probably slack off very soon. Don't force it; constant vaping is way better than two packs a day, and as I say, you will probably slack off with no effort. If you don't, you might have to increase your nicotine level - as has already been said.

I've been vaping for three weeks now and loving it however I can't put the thing down I pretty much sit puffing all day more than when I was smoking cigarettes and I was over a pack a day. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced this?

You see in the lot of replies "do not worry" advise. I strongly believe it is a wrong advise.
You are putting a lot of chemicals in your lungs which are not supposed to be in the lungs.
For sure these chemicals are not as harmful as smoking is, but nobody knows about long-term effects.
For me I decided not to go above 4 ml/day. You may choose some different target (since nobody really knows what is dangerous and what is not). Just do not follow dumb advises "vape all you can vape".

I've cut the strength down from 24mg to 6mg so I'm not getting any dizziness. I just find when I'm in the house I struggle to put it down. I feel a he'll of a lot better than when I was smoking

That may be why, Matt. Cutting from 24 to 6 is quite a large cut when you were smoking 2 packs a day. You may be unconsciously trying to get as much nicotine as you were when you were smoking, and at that low level not able to.

Like most everyone else here, I have yet to put it down. A few setups I use can produce a nic induced nausea or dizziness if chain vaped at higher nic levels but that is due to fact of the amount of nic in a given time frame. Many ways to adjust it, delivery device, nic concentration and shear amount consumed in a given time. While many here are recommending nic reduction (which I did too until I experienced other issues) I have now gone back to high nic and right or wrong feel confident in my decision. You may enjoy reading this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/633573-vaping-nicotine-advantages.html

At any rate congrats on quitting the combustibles and good luck!

I'm going to jump in your thread to say hello. I've been vaping for about a month myself and thanks to knowledgeable friends, I'm dripping in my downtime and using a tank on my mod the rest of the time.

I bought the mod when I found my EVOD pen left me smoking a few cigs daily. My first few days on my Nautilus, I would go through about 4-6 mL of 9 mg juice each day, and dripping 3mg a bit at night. Now I run through 1-3 mL of 6mg juice during the day.

Your body will tell you when you've had enough, and you will adjust to lower levels of nicotine in time. Stay focused on the benefits of not smoking. My lung function hasn't been this good in years, non-smokers arent offended by my smell, and my smile is so much brighter.

Stick with it, buddy!!
