I had a similar problem as well, but it was happening during my first and second weeks of vaping. I know I was getting dehydrated, so I drank TONS more water than I normally do (usually only drink coffee, which added to the dehydration problem). I also backed off of vaping so much. It was new to me and I purchased a lot of different juices to try, so I couldn't put the danged thing down, lol. I noticed that when I slowed down on my vaping I was able to actually taste what the flavors were and my tongue and throat weren't sore anymore.

Have you tried using just a regular atty? You say you've been vaping for 4 months, but how long have you been using the LR atty? Some people can't handle the higher temps from a LR. A friend of mine here on the forum was vaping a 5V PT and it gave her mouth sores. She had to bump back down to a regular atty on her eGo.

My experience was reminiscent of Cherewine's. I was chain vaping, throat sore, vapor burned, not drinking enough and no flavor. Classic symptoms I've noticed with people who are starting to wean off of tobacco. Increased my water intake, upped my nicotine from 12-18 to 24-30 and 'paced' myself on hitting the PV (which became easier when I upped the nic). Things did improve, although it took about 4 weeks. I still don't experience the one thing I seem to miss most with cigarettes; a deep 'chest hit' from taking a good long hard drag off of my cigarette. Other than that, it's all good.

I am having kinda the same problem. I have been vaping for about 30 days and on my 11th full day off analogs!!
(See you can teach a ole dog new tricks)
The last couple of days, the juice does NOT taste like it did. I thought it was the carts and I changed over to all new ones.
That does not change the flavor back to what it was a week ago.
I guess I will try the water thing but I am not conviced that is what it is.
Sounds kinda weird, but I get flavor in the front of my mouth, but not to the back.
At first I thought I was not getting "throat hit", but now I think it is a lack of flavor hit....
I'll keep reading on and hopefully learn some more.
And, drink that water.

I NEVER drank water, as I stated in my previous post, ONLY COFFEE. I went out and bought a case of cheap bottled water and find that I pound down at least 4 of those jokers in the evening now, without even gagging, lol. I guess your body just lets you know when it needs H2O. Also, drinking water between vapes cleanses the palette and helps improve on the flavor...especially when you're switching flavors.

texasgranny....water is very important when vaping. PG and VG both dehydrate you terribly. Drink tons of water. If you've encountered flavor loss, it's due to dehydration. Soar throat, weird feeling tongue, burning is all associated with dehydration.

Drink tons of water....this will resolve your problems. I'm not a water drinker but learned to like it due to loving vaping. Yes, keep us posted.

Ok hairball, I will give it a good try. I have already drank 2 bottles this afternoon.

Give this a try. Get juices with a 50-50 percent of PG/VG -- or go even heavier with VG.

The VG will produce much greater amounts of vapor and the effect is that while you lose some TH you gain "chest hit" when the heavy, thick vapor is inhaled.

Personally, I find "chest hit" or "lung hit" a bit more realistic than "throat hit" and thus it feels, to me, more satisfying.

Note: a greater percentage of VG may reduce e-liquid flavor a bit, so to compensate add more flavoring to your juice.

At FreedomSmokeUSA they allow you to choose Extra Flavoring X1 (add 50 cents) or X2 (add one dollar).

Extra flavoring also helps to fight the "taste fade" that happens with longterm use of a single flavor.
