I do not know if it will actually hurt our batteries but I use the one for my cell phone. In one of Mr. Outlaw's videos he said he had asked SI about wall chargers and they were safe so I am hoping this is. It seems to take longer to charge it but when using for cell phone it does too. Maybe someone with more knowledge will answer
It will work...it will probably charge slower though due to lower voltage as a cigarette lighter adapter rates in at a mere twelve volts...as opposed to a hundred twenty out of a standard wall socket
It will be fine, and will charge at the same rate as a wall adapter. USB is only 5v, so input voltage being 12vdc or 110vac doesn't matter. The circuit inside the adapter regulates it to 5vdc.
