check the charge rate for each. If the charger has a higher charge rate than the mod can handle you have a chance of blowing up/venting the battery inside your car.. Not fun. The charge rate of the charger should be on it somewhere around the plug/cig lighter connection. The charge rate for your mod will probably be in the manual, or you can just look at the charger that came with it and see if it says the same thing as the celly charger.

Hi again,

Can I use my phone car charger to charge my e-cig (Innokin MVP), or will it damage the battery and/or the charger?

If no to that question, are there safe car chargers available? I ordered the MVP but don't have it yet, but I did notice my car charger has the same micro usb. Thanks.

Before someone Say's "Yes" or someone Say's "No", why don't you look on the Back of your Car Charger and look for something that says OUTPUT.

It should say something like OUTPUT: 5v DC @ 900mah or 5v @ 1A

Then post what it says here.

4.75~5.25 is the Voltage and is Fine/Works. But do you see any Numbers with a mah or a Capital "A" next to then.

And BTW - What type of Phone is the Charger supposed to Charge. As long as it Isn't and iPhone you are Pretty Safe. But it would be Nice to know the Amps that the Charger puts out.

The mod will only take in as much current as it needs so no need to worry about a car charger blowing up your mod. I charge my MVP with a 5V 2.1A wall charger all the time. I doubt your car charger outputs much current anyway. All of my car chargers only output 0.5A which isn't even enough to charge my phone while I'm navigating.

Your car charger is most likely 5V 0.5A output, it miiiight be 5V 1A. I can't remember the max current the MVP takes, but if your charger only outputs 0.5A, it'll take FOREVER to charge your MVP. You can still do it if you want though lol.

No, there aren't any numbers or information other than what I posted above. The charger is a generic charger from China and it's charged my last 4 phones, none of which are iPhones. I probably shouldn't use it on the MVP to be safe. Thanks for your reply.

I think you would be OK using what you have.

But I just don't want to be the One to tell you it's Safe if you MVP Goes Chernobyl.
