First let me say that my all time favorite is RY5 but I wanted to try caramel creme based on some of your reviews here so I ordered 5ml on a sale. It had no taste right out of the bottle when I got it so I put it away, have shaken, breathed it and let it sit for about 3 weeks. It got much darker so I tried it last night. Still no flavor. I thought I read that people had used it right away so I expected some flavor at least at 3 weeks.

What would you recommend for steeping time on this flavor?

I bought 30ml more on the sale last week. It is much lighter although I ordered 2X flavor so that could be the reason. Tonight I will try some from the 30ml I just got to see if it tastes any better. :vapor:

The last few bottles of caramel I've bought (in October and November) don't taste like caramel and don't have much taste. I thought it was me...

The RY4 and apple I ordered in September tasted so much like caramel that I bought a bunch more...240mL RY4 and 480mL caramel, but I haven't tasted much caramel since the end of September.

I don't know what to do about it, either. I really want to be vaping caramel! I've thought about ordering just some caramel flavoring and adding it to my liquids, but I didn't know if my taste buds are messed up or what.

Will the caramel ever taste like caramel? Will the RY4 ever taste like caramel again (like it did in September)? My liquids have steeped for about a month. Still no caramel taste...

Mine was flavorless when I first tried it. I let it air overnight then steep for a week and it was great. I just wish I had gotten more than 10 ml.

I did about the same - kept the caps off for almost two full days and then kept the bottles in a closet for a week. Tried it today and no caramel taste yet.

I'm going to suggest that The Powers that Be up the $24 supporter fees so they can afford to hire an official ECF Scientist to explain some of this stuff to us. It does seem that actually opening up the bottles strengthens the flavor. Wonder why?

It has to do with large molecules and small molecules and I think that your taste is effected by the small molecules. Breathing does something to the small molecules. I know that sounds crazy but let me think on it when my mind is a little clearer and I am able to give a better explanation. I had a loooooooonnnnnggggg day and am wiped out. I will get back to you on this.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with those red corpsuckles and white corpsuckles. I read about them one time in Hog Hunter magazine. I think air gets the white corpsuckles intoxicated and they can taste better. I think I got that right.

I had a ssshhhooooooorrrttt day.

When I lived in Georgia the historic Windsor Hotel in Americus kept copies of Gun and Garden in all guest rooms.
That's where I learned about Hogzilla:

OK I tried the new bottle and the there is a lite hint of caramel. This bottle is 1 week old and has 2X flavor. I am going to breathe and steep it for a while as it shows promise. The 10ml I got is going to the back of the line for a long winters nap. The RY5 seems to always be good right away although it does get better with age.

I appreciate all the feedback and feel better knowing that caramel creme definitely requires steeping/breathing. I am going to put it aside for a month before I try it again. In the meantime, I have plenty of RY5 & French Toast to keep me vapily happy.

In my case, I believe my taste buds get messed up when vaping constantly. This didn't seem to happen during the first two weeks of vaping, because I could taste a lot of caramel during that time, but since then, I only get hints of caramel when waking up in the morning, after eating, and after those times when I don't suck on the PV for several minutes (like 1/2 hour or so).

Long periods of heavy vaping can definitely sometimes mess up your taste buds. There was a day last week when I was vaping Wyatt Earp and I had been doing some dripping and I must of switched up flavors about 6-8 times throughout the day and late in the day when I was vaping some WE I could taste it. It was pretty weird because most days WE in a Joye carto is usually almost overpowering to me. Lately when I've been doing WE I've been dripping it on the eGo mega-cylinder atty.

I love the caramel cream. I don't leave the bottle open anymore because it gets a chemical kinda taste- don't know why? I mix mine with just about everything from fireball (cinnamon), almond joy, banana cream. I don't know what it is, but I just love it!! I bought alot of Lorann's flavorings early on when I thought I may want to try DIY, but with the sales and flavors that fsusa has....well....just not worth it to me and I know I wouldn't be satisfied like I am with fsusa flavors. I've mixed a few of the Lorann's, like a couple drops of blueberry.......YUM! This is just an "all around" versatile flavor for me. I love it on it's own and mixed with just about all of my other flavors. I am going to try it with 2x flavoring though I think, to try by itself again.
Holy cow MrMagma- I didn't know hogs were that huge!!!!
